even though i am not a US citizen, and its technically not the 25th where i live, i didnt see a topic for this yet so i decided to make one.

even if it's just one day (and thats a lot to ask for in this day and age), it is important we take a moment to remember all the brave soldiers who have fought for freedom and what is right in this cruel world.

i never celebrate the day my country was liberated from the germans, nor do i take the time to 'celebrate' the dutch memorial day, but i feel very strongly about the american memorial day. your troops have done so much more for us than we have ever done for you.

This is so kind of you, stijn. :) My heart also goes out to all of the American soldiers who have done so much for their country. ❤

stijn, I didn't recognize you (you've change your forum set and siggyXD).

I don't really celebrate it...The only REAL thing me and Mom did today was take our dog Sadie to the beach. It was a dog beach area and we let her run free and she didn't run away from us!

Thank you for the thread Stijn. Remember both the fallen and those who are healing; remember why they were all put in harms way as we ask for peace.

"When we say "War is over if you want it," we mean that if everyone demanded peace instead of another TV set, we'd have peace." - John Lennon (1940-1980)
