Is there any way other than random events and the zapper machines to make the treasure chest size of pets larger?

EDIT: Also is there a way of telling how many slots a pet has without filling them up one by one

You can buy a Magical Keepsake Box from the Millionare center for 150k, it will give you 1-3 treasure chest spots =)
