I've had a crush on my friend for a long time, and have recently told her, and she's seemed sort of iffy on the idea of us going out, but she hasn't been totally against it. I tried to kiss her once (epic fail) but she gave me a cute little peck on the lips.

Anyway, a few nights ago I dreamed that we were in the school gymnasium, surrounded by classmates and watching some sort of game. Although, I was looking at her. She looks at me, smiles, and then moves in to kiss me, but for some reason I back away until I'm almost lying down on the bleachers, as though I'm trying to get away from her, but she kisses me anyway, albeit awkwardly.

Some questions I have about this are: Why am I the one moving away, instead of her (since I like her, she's so-so about me)? Also, what does the whole action signify? Her coming toward me, I back up, but she kisses me anyway?

I really want to know because I think this means something. It's much realer and more vivid than my typical dreams. (Last night I dreamed I was in my underwear, eating lunch with President Obama. Try interpreting that!)

Maybe because you guys started off as friends, and you don't want things to move forward in case things don't work out, which might affect your friendship/relations with her.

I personally think that dreams are completely random and don't really mean anything, but I guess dreams are different for everyone... I'd go with Ryazin on this one. You might be afraid of things going badly if you two end up together. That sounds like the most reasonable explanation.

My dreams are too stupid to be interpreted.

I had a dream I was eating lunch with Lindsey Lohan and one of the Olsen twins...remind me never to fall asleep watching E! again.

Oh and the next day I had one that I was ordering Subway at some school choir trip and Adam Lambert was working there(except he was hotter and had different hair) I was about to ask him for a picture together when I woke up.

My dreams always leave me blue balled like that =/

You know dating her has a really high turnover rate. In your dream you are rejecting her to save the friendship.

Trust me most of the times after dating no one stays friends. It's happened to me 3 times, and the guys ended up full out hating me, and it was THEM that asked me out

I am going out with, well he was my best friend, but now every time i see him i kinda back away. I dunno, i dont want to break up with him but i kinda think i should.

I kind of think it means that deep down you don't want to be with or, or you're afraid if getting that close to her will ruin your friendship? I don't know, but that's what it seems to mean to me.

Dreams are meant to digest tension and stress. Your head will explode if it doesn't.

I don't believe dreams mean something. You dream about things you do and think about. Also the things in your subconsciousness. It can only mean something if you want it to.
