Ok so I love overlays. Not because I don't like the original art, but because I love giving my pets personality! Here is the thing!

Ok so I have many that match up no problem like thus:

But then I have pets like Bee. Bee right now is a common Ruffie. She will stay Ruffie of course but I have wonderful overlay arts from the actual Ruffie artist, . I snagged a precious slot!

So the question is...since she is I suppose closer to the cream Ruffie, do I change her? Are you the type that likes for their color to match their overlay as much as possible? Or once you get the overlay do you not care as long as the species is more or less correct?

Opinions?

The overlays I have are simply recolored versions of the original images so I cannot say something because of my own experience however I think if Bee was my Pet I'd change her to a Cream Ruffie; it matches her name and overlay better in my opinion and I love the color scheme used for it. :)

I don't use overlays, but if I DID, then I would want it to match as best as it could.

If my overlay was heavily based on an established color or I was in a compulsive mood I would try to match color to the best of my abilities; otherwise I would just be content in matching species.

Hmm. I guess down the line I'd still try to match color as best as I could as I'm apt to be in a compulsive mood sooner or later. x)

Yeah most of mine are recolors as well, as most I can fit into the poses that exist. I just wanted something different for Bee.

And I have decided (and already changed) to make her a cream ruffie :D
