I had accidents where I want to get a specific experiment pet or some sort of expensive pet, but the Zapper changes the gender to one that I'm not happy with.

Is there any other way, besides the two Zappers, to change a pet's gender? Potions, food, anything? I'm planning to use the Zapper and I'm curious whether there's any item that can help me save some hassle.
