I am still wearing the old delicate shell which used to be a single full body item. As you may have seen today, it was revamped and turned into a number of separate items.

So what happens to the old shell? If I take it out of my wardrobe will it disappear or convert into all the new items?

If you take it out of your wardrobe, it will turn into the Sealed Clamshell, which acts like a trunk. You may put it as is into the wardrobe again, like with the delicate shell. Or you may open it, then it turns into all the items that are in the new version.

Yeah, as far as it appears, it works the same as the former Cleaning Utensils, now Maid and Butler set. Hopefully, that means any in the future will be similarly dual-compatible. (Bento, perhaps?)
