The dotted lines look terrible. The more saturated colors aren't as nice as the lighter ones.

It's blockish and too cramped. ADD SOME SPACE TO THE BOXES.

Personally, as a staff member with tools on the SB, I like the lines; they make it easier to tell where I'm clicking because they divide the text from the icons. As for the colors, I like them too - all except the olive that was chosen for the UAs. Olive is just such an ugly color. XD

I don't mind the lines but I do mind the text change. And I rather liked the other green for the UAs

I like the current green better, but I'M a sucker for khaki.

I do not use the shout box, but this thread made me look. I think the lines are useful, but they, and the text, are/is huge!

I don't use the SB either but I checked it out. It's cute and clean. I just don't like how it uses arial (?) when the rest of the site uses verdana.

I find the new SB extremely unattractive. The lines are somewhat annoying but the closeness of the fonts and how large it is rather bad. Only an opinion but really I am not a fan

I really don't like the new shoutbox. But seeing as Firefox crashes my computer, I'm forced to use IE where a bunch of stuff is unusable, and the shoutbox is cluttered as all hell. I recently lost my glasses... and well, the new shoutbox is just about completely illegible for me. More than half the time now, I can barely read what everyone is saying.

Everything that Pan said, I agree with completely. I dislike the new font. The dotted lines irk me. Kupo said it looks more cluttered, it does.

The new green could have a little more blue in it so it'd be less on the pea soup green and maybe a more attractive green. Not a lot of people are fond of that particular shade of green.

I like the old one better. We need to have separate SBs in my opinion, and Thea, my room is painted olive but the UAs do have an oogly box

The new shoutbox actually sort of makes my eyes hurt. I don't like the new font- I don't mind the font being bigger, but the font style itself is sort of hard for me to read. It's not uniform with the rest of the text on the site and I personally found nothing hard to read about it before the switch, so...yeah, that's my two cents.

I hate the font. :/ The capital b's are topheavy and the words tend to run together so it's sometimes difficult to notice right off where one ends and the next begins-especially if the second word begins with i.

The new colors... Y'know how when a piece of paper gets wet and whatever was on it runs so that it's just all smudy looking and such? Kinda what the SB reminds me of now. XD

My one true wish is that our custom CSS could apply to the SB. The only way everyone's going to be happy with the color/font of the SB is if they get to pick their own! :D

I actually do love the font, but it took a little bit to get used to looking at it. It almost looks cramped, though. Like the boxes aren't big enough for the text.

I agree with , I think we should be able to make the SB colors how /we/ want them. Everyone will be happy then.

And, I also think the SB should slide down with the page, so we don't have to scroll all the way back up to see it.

I think the idea of people getting their own colors is a tad on the crazy side. Unless we could regulate the colors I'm quite sure people would be using NEON pink and green, among other seizure inducing colors. Unless the colors were enforced in some way, the idea makes me a tad uneasy. It would also diminish the power that the current UA's have, as their posts would not be noticed as well if there were other similar colors going on in the SB.

Menagerie: I was referring to being able to change the colors/font in our custom CSS. That way, we would be changing what we see. Not what everyone else sees! XD

Oh wow. Don't I feel smart! XD. That does sound like a good idea, but at the same time I can see some people changing them all to one color, which again would diminish the effect of the UA's having a different color from the rest of us.
