Does anyone ever get a bug from an Oofa Fruit? I've been feeding them to my pets every so often the whole time I've been on Subeta and never gotten anything. Now that there's an achievement for it, it would stand to reason that it happens... but is it incredibly rare or have I just had rotten luck?

It's just based on luck.

It is pretty hard to get from what I hear. A friend of mine got it yesterday, she had to feed about 95 of them - sadly it's just pot luck xD
