Ok, for you all to get the full impact of this, know that I have extremely sensitive pale skin and heal very, VERY slowly. So on Sunday I went to King's Island, which is an amusement park for those of you have never heard of it, and we were there from open to close. 10 AM-10 PM. Twelve hours. In the sun. And I didn't put on any damn sunscreen. I burn when I wear SPF 70! So yeah, 12 hours in the sun without sunscreen? I got FRIED, and it is painful beyond all belief. This is my second worst sunburn, falling just shortly behind the one where a blister covered the entire right half of my neck. I'm pretty sure I have at least second degree burns on my shoulders. I think I found a couple blisters earlier. And I have TONS of crap to do later, so I can't be walking around shirtless like I was and it'll bother my burn more. Damn it all. Anyone else have some lovely sunburn stories they want to share?

Ouch!!! We have a carival down here every year in the middle of summer. One year it was over 40 degrees celisus. I was there from 9am until it finished late at night. Only wearing a little dress. No sunscreen either. So I feel your pain! I could barely walk it hurt that bad.

I can barely lie down right now because it irritates my burn. ...Which is my excuse for being up at 5:45 AM.

Did have a 2nd degree burn during a river rafting 7 yrs ago. It did burn my upper thighs, and my arms. I have to move it from time to time and has to put some anti-burn cream for it.

Yeah it's painful. I burn easily too.

Oh and better ask a dermatologist about the usage of SPFs usually SPF 50 below will work like a SPF 70. My doc found the right one for me to use next time

I don't burn too easily, but I freckle like no other, and I've already had one skin cancer removed. :-|

My worst sunburn covered my entire back. I could not put a shirt on for a week.

I hate wearing sunscreen, it's oily and it smells bad.

I don't usually burn, I just get extremely fucking tan.

Ouch! My worst one was when I went to Spain (Majorca to be exact). I didn't blister or anything, thank God. It was so painful, though. My mum had one worse and hers blistered.

I laid out at the beach Sunday and didn't put any sunscreen on my back and shoulders. Yeah :/ It hurts. I always get it the worst on my shoulders.. and now my shoulders hurt like a mother fucker. I finally gave in and bought aloe vera gel yesterday, and I've been keeping it in the refrigerator until I use it, haha.

I also freckle a ton, too, so the freckles on my face are already very prominent. And it's barely June.

That was your own fault. Sucks, yes, but your fault. I mean, twelve hours and no sunscreen? Fail.

I've only had one sunburn, and it was on my face last year. it wasn't even much, so it didn't bother me.

owwie!

i know a couple people who fell asleep in the pool while on one of those floaty things. hurt like a motherfucker, i bet!

i'm extremely (like, actually paper white) pale, and while i don't burn as easily as others do, i don't tan at all. my shoulders always end up getting fried, though - i have a scar on my right shoulder from a bad sunburn when i was 8 or so. it kind of looks like a very broken up hawaii :o

I was in a vacation to Puerto Rico (where me grandma grew up) and I went to one of the beaches there. I didn't wear a shirt (I usually wear a shirt to protect me better from the sun) and just me swimsuit. I ended up getting a really bad sunburn. Hurt like hell for a few weeks.

I put sunscreen on once when I went to the beach, I should have reapplied it since I was in the water and stuff but I didn't. I got a really bad bikini-burn-tanline. :x It was terrible, I was so red and burned everywhere, I think it was the worst on my legs. It took forever to heal and I hate it when it peels, so gross... Sounds like most people on here are like me in regards to how we burn. And yeah, I know it was my fault. Hence the title. Doesn't change the fact that it hurts like all hell and is fucking up my sleep schedule even more. On a random note, I have my temps now. Which is one of the things I had to go do that I was complaining about. Yay.
