Seventeen years ago on June 2, 1992, I decided that I was sick an tired of being stuck in my mom's belly, so I made my grand enterance after six long days of labour.
Okay, technically, I'm not 17 until 4:17 in the morning, but we can smudge the details on that, right?
I'm actually a little shocked to be turning 17. I mean, it's nothing special, but damn I feel old. I'm gonna need a walker soon, and some cats to sit around my while I rock on my porch with a shotgun in hand.

Yeah... I have dreams. My birthday wish this year is to end world hunger and become a cat lady.

Oh, normally I would put on a festive hat and celebrate the fact that the earth has circled around the sun on more time. I really didn't think it was going to make it this year but darn if it wasn't for the little planet that could all over again.

Yeah, we're having a big family dinner and my brothers have some kind of surprise for me. Over the weekend, though, we're having a huge bonfire outside of town where we're going to set of fireworks and have a few drinks.

Yay, congrats on being 17! I'm actually turning 18 this Friday. o__o; But yehh, don't feel old until you get at least 18, please? xD At least you're still a teenager and stuff. c: Hope you have tons of fun on your special day, and an awesome year!
Next year is my 18th and my Dad's 50th, so we keep teasing him that he'll be an old fart and I'll still be a youngin'.
And then he glares at me and tell me he'll 'show me who's old'.
But I still feel old. Most of my friends are 1-3 years younger than me, so I'm the senior citizen.

There was a ton of cake. It was pretty epic, though, because it was a cheesecake. My uncle showed up, which I hadn't expected, so that and the epic cake made the whole day rock.

I never felt old at 17 or 18. I feel old turning 21 in 21 days, though. And really I shouldn't, because my friends are mainly in their 30s. (Sounds creepy; but aside from the friends I still have from high school, I really don't get along with people my own age -- too much drama :S)
