I'm currently the one person that most of my friends at my school hate/are annoyed by for no good reason, don't ask me why. They're just being bitchy because our last day of school is tomorrow. I hate them back anyway, they keep insulting me when they're trying to be nice, but they just don't fucking realize that telling someone that they publicly embarrass themselves every day by just being quiet and reading a fucking book in class is a bit rude. /rant
Anyway, I just got this text message. I was having a bit of a text argument with one of my friends, and I got this message, from a number I do not recognize.
Not only does it have a strange website URL in it, but it says that they got my phone number from "our friend". Now I wonder which friend it was? The one who told me I publicly humiliate myself, her boyfriend who informed me of my boyfriend's breaking up with me AND who agreed with her statement, my friend who hates me for no good reason, but I hate because she overreacts to everything and anything that happens every day, or the friend who doesn't go on her computer much, but is still a bit angry at me?
Now, I do have many more friends than these 4 jerkholes, but none of them would know someone who might like me or give my number to anyone for texting (or email, I think that's what this message was...) strange URLs to me.
So, uh, should I trust this text, or ignore it?
It looks like a spam message, tbh.
I get weird messages on my phone like that sometimes usually linking to nasty sites
looks like spam to me too
That happens to me too. I get constant messages from weird emails directing me to random sites. I have no clue how they get my number though.

It's either spam or someone playing a cruel joke on you.
I'd just delete it.
I don't think anyone 'gave your number away' to them. Spam messages have a way of making it around to everyone. They collect addresses on their own.

your friends probly didnt give out your number; it was probly you. even if youre really careful with your personal info, spam sites can get your number anywere, like from a magizine you subscribed to. its probly a porno site; i get texts like that sometimes too.
there you go. all information you give to facebook is liable to be bought and sold to any company.
I'm wondering why you're calling those people your friends. I saw your other thread about them and when they said that you make a fool out of yourself everyday...by being quiet.
They seem like little bitches.
I said so-called friends just for that reason! xD
The one I'm arguing with over texting just said she and my other "friends" at our school were only my friends b/c I had none. Well, sucks for me that my parents cared more about my education than my other MS buddies who went off to the public schools where the average semester grades are Cs and Ds and not to the private school like me where over half of the school is on honor roll! :D
Not including me lol. I get one C, and wham, goodbye honors. :P
SPAM. No question about it. When I went on myspace (I know do facebook) I got a spam that was similar. Well...like the person knew me and we had a friend together though I didn't know the person at all.
