over a song. and i'm still not over it, 25 minutes later.
anything that helps that you guys know of to help with panic attacks?
Friend of mine got them a lot. She said when she calmed down she always had to take a massive dump.... try that.
o_o @ JoAnna, lol
I have to take half a Vicodin for my panic attacks.
This. And for trying to calm down, maybe lay down and relax? Think about nice things and get your mind off of the song.
Whatever you decide to do, feel better soon!
Yeah, now I'm all curious XD
Make yourself some hot tea/milk and try to lay down for a bit.
o i guess i toke mine too early then. i jsut had a rly bad bowel movement not long ago.
EDIT:

i'm drinking water and about to go fix tea and listening to Children of Bodom and Cradle of Filth and the such.
I get panic attacks if I know i'm in trouble, or if I can't stop thinking about something, or if someone is yelling at me or upset and I can't help. Idk. I normally just take deep breaths or go into the bathroom and talk myself into calming down.
I used to get them every night, I take Zoloft for them now. But aside from medication, look up some breathing exercises. They seem to help. I use the 4 4 4 one... Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, then breathe out for 4 seconds/repeat. I've also found that mints calm my nerves. Good luck, panic attacks can be nasty!
i really think i got it from the song because of what i usually normally listen to.
Damn. I used to get them, but I just learnt to control them eventually until it was just a physical reaction - with none of the mental panic. I haven't had one for a while now.
Just wait it out...and avoid the song, lol. Unless you have medication for them or something...then stuff those drugs down your throat. I don't know.

I'm glad I don't have panic attacks.
But on the contrary, I'm bipolar so it's not all that great.
I get panic attacks a lot. Because of anxiety problems and things like that. All I can do is just try to calm down (which I usually can't do on my own) and then just lay down, take a nap or something.
Actually, I think I know what you're talking about. Japanese Pop used to make me really hyper and twitchy because it's just TOO upbeat and exciting. xD;
Evolution by Ayumi Hamasaki did almost the same thing to me. (Not the remix version. For you, I wouldn't listen to either.)
I'm used to extremely mellow indie acoustic stuff.
I think you got it because it probably got you too amped up. I linked my friend to this and she also said she knows exactly what you mean.
So it's not weird and it probably was the song.
Try to put on some softer music and relax.
I used to have meds for it but now I'm trying really hard to do without any chemical substances and I found that it helps to focus on your breathing. Just try to take long deep breaths and focus on something positive, maybe look at a picture you like or something. Good luck; I know how hard it can be.
o thank you Bikuu i found it really calming to listen to Cradle of Filth and Children of Bodom and the such.
it wasn't because it was too upbeat and exciting it just, iunno, gave me a panic attack.
i got it cured, drank some tea, toke my sleeping pills and passed out.
