I don't know if I'm the only person, but I have a serious problem when it comes to them. D:

As in, I see a Garage Sale sign and suddenly I'm driving wherever the little arrow is pointing to. x.x And seeing as this is usually the time of year everyone is having them, I've been spending an increasing about of my Thursday and Friday mornings in other people's Garage's. xD;;

So basically, I'm just wondering if anyone else out there likes going to them or are you like my Step-Dad and thinks it's stupid to buy other people's stuff? x3

It use to be an every weekend thing for my mom, sister and I. Its fun XD

I like to buy stuff from others,as long as its in decent condition.And its kind of like recycling,better than throwing into our landfills.We have Garage sales ourselves,and unlike most of the people here we actually HAVE good stuff in great condition.

I love those things. One time I bought a brat doll airplane thing for my niece for like $10. And I always find random jewelery and shit too. XD

Yeah, I finally got my sister to go with me today. :) She was acting like it was the most horrible thing ever until she started seeing all of this brand name clothing for super cheap. xD That got her into the spirit. x3

We had a Garage Sale earlier in the spring and I gotta say, it's much more fun going to them than having one. D; We did clean out alot of our basement though which was nice. :3

I'm always bringing home clothes, books and Disney movies. xD I've collected the Disney movies in those clamshell cases since I was a kid, so it's a very satisfying feeling when I find one for 50 cents that I've been looking for for a while. xD

I like watching the old people who go to those things to fight over stuff. Like who saw what first.

My mom was in labor with me and stopped the car to go to a garage sale.

She also threw me in a dumpster when I was younger to get a chair out of it for the house. The old lady had died and they threw all her stuff in a dumpster. It was kind of like a garage sale. Except free.

Let's hope I never get that bad. xD That seriously is the best thing ever though. x3

You experience with a dumpster reminds me of my grandpa. xD He's a major Mr. Fix-It and lived through the Great Depression. Add that to the fact that they live out in the country and take their garbage to a dump next to a Coal Plant where he often finds things that are in good condition, but has one or two things wrong that he can easily fix. I love when he goes into his little speeches about how whatever it is he found 'works just fine. Just needed a little bit of elbow grease is all. :3' and how he can't believe people would throw something like that away. xD

Well I sometimes go to car boot sales...they're not too bad. But there's rarely anything of much worth... although I do manage to find some good stuff for my pets.

But it's mostly just old VHS/DVDs/games/vinyl, old furniture and antiques, tinkers selling off rusty tools, and a suspicious amount of old electronics (BLATES NOT STOLEN, BRUV).

And sometimes I might tag along with my parents when they're going and I need to sell stuff. My mental maths is too shit for me to deal with the change, so I fill in as 'security' LOL (a.k.a sitting on the car bonnet and glaring at suspicious people)

DUDE YES!! garage sales are BOMB. i got a magic bullet (like the really really cool little blender from the infomercials ha) for FIVE BUCKS! talk about deal. those things are like 40 dollars.

my friend got a perfectly good bike for a dollar once, too. and they always have the coolest jewelry. though i guess garage sales range from what kind of town you live in...mine's pretty wealthy, so everyone always throws away good stuff cos they don't care about buying a new one later.

Garage Sales Rock The last one I went to, I found a book in a series that I have not read yet, and needed the book. It is a kid book... Baby Sitters Little Sister "Karen's ----"

Just have to look for books at a garage sale. And never know what is written inside the book:D {as in... Some people may like to write with pencil/pen/ect on the/in the book.}

but yeah, i love garage sales. a lot. my friends know this, and they won't willingly go to garage sales with me so when we're walking around our town and i spot a sign, i have to be tricky to get them to head in the sale's direction.

whenever i go to them, i always come home with a pile of crap and my mom freaks at me.

Yes I am a dork. I collect and play with breyer model horses.

I found a nice limited edition, one of a kind, breyer named Stormchaser at a barn sale where the woman had horse stuff (it was heaven on earth for me) so I got a good deal on a ton of stuff for my horse. I had 20 bux left and that was how much he was so I sacrificed my last $20 for him and now (shudder) he is going to breyerfest with me as my showjumper.
