This morning I got back from the aftergrad party at 5 am completely dead at zombified. I got home showered and then promptly black out on my bed.
It was amazing. The hypnotist was hilarious, everyone was rolling around in their seats. And I managed to lose all my chips at blackjack, the dealer was on a roll and my luck was horrendously bad. Laura, my friend got 5 blackjacks that night and I got one and then started to bleed chips. D: Then last game, of the night/morning/yeah whatever, the whole table went all in and all us kids lost everything. The dealer was a great guy though!
The dinner/dance banquet was freakin' intense. My legs ache from all the dancing. The DJ was laughably fake but everyone had fun and the view on the patio was unfreakin' believable. It was cool but with that magical feel of summer... -sighs- Worst part of the evening was the buckets of hairspray my aunt used to keep my hair from uncurling and the urge to sleep, I can't pull allnighters at all. >w<
So I'm really curious right now, what's graduation/prom like at other schools?
You had your graduation and prom together?
Prom this year was at the Aquarium, they set up a dance floor in the middle of a glass-walled room, with fish all over around them, and they had free run of the aquarium. Senior Skip Day is the day before prom.
Paint night is somewhere in between, where you paint your year and their name, and personal notes on the street outside all of your friends houses. And someone in your grade paints the huge-ass water tower near campus with your year.
The night before Field Day there's a senior sleep out, where the seniors all sleep on the big field at our school. Then Field Day, at the moving up assembly (we all sit separately in the gym based on grade, and at the assembly we move up) the seniors run out and get to get their yearbooks first. Then that weekend is graduation, and immediately after graduation all of the seniors are shipped out to their senior cruise, which takes them all on a traveling casino/boat, to a buffet, to a game room thing, and brings them back to our island at 5 AM.

You're prom sounds a lot more fun than ours were. We wanted to do a Vegas type theme one year, but the school wouldn't because they didn't want to promote gambling :/ No hypnotist either, just a DJ. They did hold it in this museum downtown, which was cool. Mostly people didn't stay at prom long, the after parties were more fun.
I didn't have a prom at me high school...well...it was a preparatory school and small.
: Well we call it grad becuase the walking down the isle in the giant scholar gowns is commencement for us. Our senior skip day was after that, lol. That's such a brilliant idea for a dance, it must have been gorgeous! :D
XD When some of the seniors slept in the field at my school, they woke up early and hung bras and undies around the school, along with a giant banner saying 'THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT.' A cruise? Lucky! D: We just stuck around the school til 5.
: That's a bummer but it sounds like you guys made it word.
: I don't know anything about prep schools. :P
I danced with my crush. I admit, I still get the SQUEEEEEEE feeling even though I don't like him anymore. Or so my consciousness says... >3< Food was bad but the dance was great. Prom should be one of the best nights of your life IMO. :3

lol, the food at mine was alright but dessert was so tasty! Or it's probably just my sweet tooth talking. :D
Yeah, dancing is the best part of grad! It's so easy and awesome getting lost in the beat in the sea of people!
I wanted to dance with a guy I thought was really cute but then he starting grinding with this other chick and I was really grossed out because they failed at it. :P
i had a decent time at my prom since i hate my class, my school and dancing am glad it's a once at a lifetime event cause i wouldn't go to it again even if my life depended on it

pokes karateetee the woman speaks the truth goes to click her squiby c:
My Prom was last night in a beautiful ballroom. It was absolutely magical. I danced the whole night and 4 hours felt like 10 minutes, it was crazy. The food looked good, but no one ate much. Everyone looked so gorgeous!
The only downside was that the theme of our Prom was the song "Save Tonight" by Eagle Eye Cherry, and they never even played it! Oh, and there was legit only one slow song the whole night!
