OKAY i'm confused for the book drive do we

1. collect books to hand in or do we
2. show our pet with highest intellegence (i have a pet with over 300 intellegence)

if it is the pet option, if we do that pet, does the pet lose their intellegence points when you hand over their books?

The last book drive we got points for turning in one of each book.
