Regular members can have 5, and I BELIEVE gold account members can have 10.

Yep, 10 for Gold Account members. Then if you have a Gold Account you can use Mystical Donadak or Mystical Montre plushies to add more slots, so that you can get a grand total of 20 pets on one account.
