What are trinkets and how do you get them?

The Steamworks and Lounge Trinkets were part of the Masquerade event that took place here a couple months ago. You got the trinkets from dancing with other users, but the event is over now and you can't earn them anymore. If you buy them from user shops, you can use them to buy items from the event shops, which can be found here
