Hello, All. My name is Laura and I am a resident of California. I am also a lover of animals and can't stand when they are being mistreated. As it so happens, my bf's mother currently has two cats that she is looking to get rid of. Currently, she keeps them locked up in a single room all day, every day. Not many people would see this as mistreatment, but I certainly DO and so does the law of California, I believe. :/

In any case, I would DEARLY like to take the two cats in and give them good homes, but there are some problems with this, mainly the fact that I already own three cats that I worry about because I don't know what will happen to them if and when I move from my father's house which I am currently living in.

I am trying to find good homes for these two cats. I am willing to drive anywhere in California to drop them off, even if it's to a stranger, but, of course, I'd prefer a public place both for my own safety because I don't expect to be trusted by anyone.

Please understand that this is a last resort, coming into the forums to ask this and also please understand that I am COMPLETELY SERIOUS.

The cats I am referring to are probably about a year old. One's a tabby and the other is a calico. I think they are both females, but if it really matters, I'll find out for sure if questioned about it.

The calico has no tail. I don't know why she doesn't have a tail, but it's just a stub. Let's just say it gives her more character and she's cute! :)

The cats are not spayed and the calico, I'm afraid to say, has ringworm. :( I understand this may be a problem in anyone wanting to accept this cat, but this just means that she needs all the more love!

Both cats are fairly small. If pictures are wanted, I will send my bf to take pictures and will gladly send them to people or post pictures on my profile.

Last of all, I would like to say that it may already be too late for anyone to help save these cats because my bf's mother's wife was trying to just abandon them two nights ago by letting them run out of the house and become strays! Now, I am HOPING that she still has the cats and didn't do something so cruel. I am HOPING to find one or two people that want a cat or two and then take the cats (if they are still there) off my bf's mom's hands.

Won't any California resident think about helping these cats if they can?

PS I hope this is all right to post here. I didn't see anything in the rules against it. I know posting this would not be allowed on some other pet game sites, but I know Subeta is much more open about everything. . . . If this is bad to post, I'm sorry, but you must agree that it really is a desperate situation if you like cats. :(

Um yeah this should be in Chit-Chat. But here is a list of some places in Cali that should be able to help you. Safer than hooking up with strangers from the internet. ;)

Though, I really don't mind meeting up with people from the internet. I've already done it loads of times. ^^ LOL! (All my friends are online friends.) Well, it's not like I'm careless or anything, since I've only met people I absolutely trust, and even now, I'm only doing it as a desperate measure. ^^
