For thousands upon thousands of years only two clans of werewolves has ever existed. Millions of wars have waged between them over a thousand different things. Never once did they fight for something that meant something to them. It was always over land, which never really meant much to the wolves. Except for to their leaders.
They would fight none stop for weeks upon months to even years. Then they'd just stop, making a silent pact not to fight for how ever long they didn't fight. Sometimes the pact would last a day or two and sometimes it would last a few months, but never more than six. These animals are blood thirsty predators and would do anything just to get their hands on another one of their kind.
One day, three hundred years ago there hadn't been a battle for seven weeks. The wolves were out hunting when they find the daughter of the leader, laying dead hidden in some bushes. Two of the wolves let out loud and blood curdling roars alerting the clan to something. The leader comes running and a war starts all over again. He surged off toward the other clan and attacked, his clan following behind regardless of the reason.
They kept at this war for three hundred years. Even today the war is still going on deep inside the Forest of Ebony. But when someone wanders inside this dreadful forest, the wolves find themselves drawn toward him/her. They find him/her fascinating because it'd been years since they had last seen a human enter their lands. They don't stop fighting, but wolves from each clan watch this creature returning to their leader information about it. Will this poor, helpless human be the one to stop this waging war? Or will he/she end up dead like all the other humans that wandered into the forest before him/her?
Clan Laws
These clans are set into a specific order and must obey laws set by the wolves before them. If one law is broken, another is put into action for breaking a different one. The top ones are most important and the bottom ones are the least important.
1. Follow ALL leader commands. No matter what the leader says to do, you must do it regardless of the consequences. 2. Obey all laws or be killed for not. 3. Males must hunt for the food. Once the food is collected the leader and his family is fed first, followed by the older wolves, children, females, and then last the males. 4. All traitors are mauled by their leader and left to die in the forest. Under NO circumstance must a leader let them live/not be mauled. A traitor is a traitor regardless of what they say or do. 5.Females are to ONLY fetch the water and tend to their families. They have no other jobs, unless otherwise said by the leader during that time. 6. If one or multiple of these laws are broken, a wolf is exiled or beaten until death. 7. When selecting a new Healer, you must preform the correct ritual. (This will be written in another section) 8. A Healer's only duty is to heal those that have been hurt and to watch over the youngsters as they grow older. This wolf decides when a child is old enough to fend for themselves. 9. Children are slaves to another wolf until old enough to fend for themselves. all laws or be killed for not. 10. Weak babies are killed upon finding they are weak.
Clan Traditions
1. When selecting a new Healer, you must preform the correct ritual. ~The first step in choosing a new Healer, is to set up a ring of rocks in the center of the camp. ~Then the current Healer must stand in the center of the circle holding the Healer Stick.(The Healer Stick, is the stick that helps the Healer heal animals.) ~The leader then steps into the circle and says a speech that lets the clan mates know this is a privilege to be chosen. Then the leader steps back out. ~The current Healer then starts a chant while dancing around the circle and waving the stick above his head and around his body. ~When the chanting stops the stick is pointed in the direction of the new Healer. ~After the new healer is appointed, the Healer must kill the other one. If the other Healer lives and the new one dies. The old one stays the Healer until too old to carry on as Healer. Then the process starts all over again.
2. When a child is born, a Parenthood ritual happens. ~As soon as the parents find out about the pregnancy, the mother wolf must take bed rest for the entire pregnancy. ~The male hunts for the female taking care of her every need. ~Current children are taken care of by the male or by another family of wolves. ~Once the child is born, the child will be blessed with a marking upon his body that says he belongs to this clan. It is either an X or a square depending on if it is a male or female. Female=X; Male=Square ~Process happens when another child is born.
3. Upon reaching the age of adulthood a young wolf is place out in the forest and left to fend for him/herself. If they come back they are a wo/man. If they don't they are dead. ~The wolf must kill for food ~If attacked, must kill the other animal ~Find shelter for every night ~They have to keep moving and use their sense of smell to find their way back home

X-I shall post my intro once at least the major, leader and healer, positions are taken. I will be playing a female and a male character from each clan. I would like it if you called me Happy and my favorite song right now is Get Outta My Way by Carolina Rain. I'm also sorry about it being so long. I thought I would just explain how these clans and wolves work.-X
[font=Cambria]
X-Send me a sample of your writing and we shall see. C:-X
[font=Cambria]
X-Take your time. :] Hopes more people will join. -whistles patiently-X
[font=Cambria]
ooc: May I be Healer of Arrow Clan? And is there a certain skelly you'd like us to use?
X-Please post the required information and then you may join. There is no skeleton, just a paragraph intro. I don't want to use them in this roleplay. So just post an intro. I'm working on my intro. It should be up soon.-X
[font=Cambria]
X-Aww, thank you Fly. :] I hope more people join because I can see this roleplay having potential. Thanks for the compliments.-X
[font=Cambria]
ooc: You know, I read through the rules and kept thinking, 'Ok, don't forget to post my name and the song,' and then I go and forget. -_-
Call me Espeon, and my favorite song right now is Old School by Hedley.
Starts writing intro
Oh, just curious, who blesses the newborns?
X-Hahaha! It's okay, Espeon. I've done stuff like that too. :] Oh! I totally forgot about that. The Healer blesses the newborns. :] Okay, I'll put you both down in the ranks.-X
[font=Cambria]
X-Ashley!! :] 'Course you can join. I'll put you down as a scout. Welcome.-X
[font=Cambria]
X-No problem. If you have your intro you can go ahead and post it. I'm still working on mine. Haha! C:-X
[font=Cambria]
X- Yeah, I haven't been a werewolf in a while. It just sort of popped into my head. I had to make a roleplay about them. Haha! :] Nope, no skellies this time, Ash. I just want paragraph intros.-X
[font=Cambria]
X-No, they can look like anything. But no powers, I don't want powers. I'll add that to the rules.-X
[font=Cambria]
Oo: Hey, room for one more? I read the rules, you can call me whatever variation of my username you want (or, if you wish, my character's name). Too many favourite songs to pick, but currently I'm listening to Dismantle. Repair. by Anberlin.
So, having said that, may I be a hunter of the Fiscal tribe? And just one thing that may sound insignificant but I need to know: Do the werewolves stand upright on two feet, or down on all fours?
X-Of course I have room for one more. :] Welcome to the roleplay. I shall put you down in the ranks. :] Oh! Geeze, that is not insignificant. Haha! To answer it: They can stand on two feet or on all fours. Whatever you decide. Mine stand on two feet, but yours can stand on two or four. Whatever you decide. :]-X
