Okayyy so firstly I was blocked by a user i'd never seen before in my life

which kind made me feel like my little puppy of pride inside me died, but y'know whatever I got over it. BUT Then after they had blocked me I got an event saying "You have recieved Shapely Sapphire Hookah from -the frozen username's inserted here-"

but on the rules page it says anybody blocked can't do these things to the blocked user: " * sMailing you * Commenting on your profile * Sending you items * Sending gifts or presents * Offering on Trades * Commenting in your Art Gallery and Journal * Viewing your shoutbox shouts * Viewing your forum posts * Viewing your news comments"

I also saw people posting that they'd gotten the similar item from the same person on the shoutbox after i'd recieved one.

I'm totally confused and somewhat insulted, I mean I don't even know who this person is nevermind why they blocked me then somehow sent a gift to me afterwards?!

It sometimes needs 24 hours to actually GET you on the blocked-status. Anyways, this is reportable. You can just file a ticket for that. There are some people that block users randomly because they don't like what they were saying or just because they don't like their names or whatever.
