Okay, so I've asked two people what these toys are based on, one hasn't be on for a few days, the other logged out on me without a word, so I figured I'd ask here because it’s driving me nuts.

Now I know flopits are toys, you play with them, collect them, or loathe them like I do, however each time I see one I wonder what kind of toy they're based on in real life. I know what the blob dolls are based on, though I've not seen any in Australia, we all know what the My Lil' Hikeis are based on, and plushies and a whole host of other things. But flopits, as much as i hate them, I want to know what kind of toy they're based on. The only thing I can think of is when I was a kid and made stressballs out of balloons and rice. Are they just an American thing, or are they purely made up for the sake of the site?

Does anyone out there know?

chuckles Yeh, I know not all things need to be based off something already around in real life, however from what I’ve seen in my travels around subeta, a lot of things are.

chuckles Mr Potato head, I can kinda see that. Although PO-TA-TIS reminds me of him. (Gee they’ve sky rocketed in price since I used one for the 99 rarity food achievement.) My friend said they reminded her of ninjas, I guess from the ninja flopit that’s out.

Somehow, I have a feeling it’s going to be one of those things that only the original artist of the first flopit can answer. It will be interesting to see what other people are reminded of.
