My right eardrum is making noises like static. What does that mean? Lately I've been listening to loud songs on my laptop with my headphones...that probably has something to do with it, right?
What can I do to make it stop, or WILL it stop even if I stop listening on my headphones?
It's been doing it for the past ten minutes or so....
I'm listening in the other ear now and turned the volume down.
That's your ear cells dying. Literally.
You're losing your hearing. :/ If you use headphones or ear buds, make sure the volume is low. If it's high it can kill off ear cells and you'll permanently lose some of your hearing.
It's the same ear in which I have water on the ear...>_< God.I hope it doesn't hurt.
-will be buying swimmer's ear stuff tomorrow-
Yeahh, loud music tends to do that.
I had that for a couple weeks after a Good Charlotte concert.
Turn down the volume some and it should help. =)
How about taking a break and not listening to music for a bit.
You shouldn't subject your ear to anymore issues.
I had this problem, really badly actually. The doctor cleaned out my ear (wax can buildup and actually cause the ringing too) and told me to stop using headphones for a while. Eventually the ringing did go away.
I got your back Jack, bitches be crazy.
Loud music is a horrible thing on your poor ears XD
Lacuna Coil + Chimaira + Killswitch Engage + Disturbed
^^^ that's how I learned ;___;
Just turn the music down a bit XD
I use Q-tips a lot and I get told that pushes the wax back and...you know. How can I fix THAT though?
KISS + Lots of Whose Line Is It Anyway + Poker Face + I Will Survive + Moonlight Sonata + What's This? on youtube...oh my god. X_X
It's still been going off and on...vibrating a bit in addition to the noise.
jumanji is in the distance.
I thought at first it was a bug in my ear... xD
Okay. So, two things I need to do, tone down music, and get the swimmer's ear stuff...hrrm, what else...
I put one of my earbuds (sorry, I called them headphones, I don't know why!) in the ear, it blocks out ambient noise, so...)
I got your back Jack, bitches be crazy.
Okay, it's stopped...didn't want to jinx it, but...
Phew. No more music for a while. It does hurt though a little, should I maybe take an aspirin?
EDIT: @$&*@ It's itching too. X_X
Itching and ringing makes me think of my Poppa. He worked as a crane operator decades ago, before sound protection, and he's completely deaf in one ear and mostly deaf in the other. The 100% deaf one has a rushing, ringing sound left in it, and he's always scratching at it...not a good sign when you throw loud music in the mix :X
Q-tips are for cleaning the outside of the ear, not the canal...I learned that one the hard way. Wax blocked up both my ears, I had to have them rinsed out with hot water by a doctor. It didn't hurt, and my hearing was amazing afterward, but it's not something you want to do frequently. It can cause it's own kind of damage after a while.
if your ear itches, I got told by my doctor do soak a bit of a cotton pad in alcohol solution (you wouldn't know the swedish brand name I think :() that you would normally use to dry up and ease itching from insect bites. Gently clean ear with cotton pad.
Prohibited from using q-tips anywhere in my ear :( I'm prone to ear infections and they somehow come more often with q-tip cleaning.
THEY CAN'T BREAK YOU IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SPINE
