Why do I always end up getting grounded for ridiculous reasons? Lol.

Well, this time around, my friend came over and hung out for a while. Part of the deal of him coming over is that my mom wouldn't have to drive anywhere. Don't ask, she just hates driving... a lot. =shrug=

Anyway, like, a couple hours in, his parents call and say they can't pick him up, idk why, he didn't tell me.

So I tell my mom that she has to take him home. And she does, but she grounds me for a couple weeks as soon as we get home.

D:

I don't get ittt, I apologized about a hundred times, she just got madder.

So, I can't have any friends over, and I can't go out to do anything but go to the store.

Do you have any bizarre parental rage stories?

God that sucks! My parents are bizarre =/

They want me to have more friends, yet they NEVER let me go out to do anything, I'm almost 15.. I need more freedom lol. They yell at me for the dumbest reasons too, say I go to have ice cream around 8 "WHY ARE YOU GETTING ICE CREAM? ITS TOO LATE DON'T BE EATING AT THIS TIME" ugh.

That sucks. But yes, just now. My grandmother got mad at me because SHE didn't water the flowers. It's not my job to keep track of YOUR flowers, my God. And sometimes, I'll sit down on the couch to watch T.V, and she'll come over and change the channel like I wasn't even there. And many more stupid things like that, that I don't feel like saying.

Sounds like my dad. It's no fun when I'm hanging out with friends and it seems like at any call their parents will drive over and not freak out at them. If I don't call my dad by ten and ask for a ride, he flips out at me and yells at me about the time.

I just recently got off of a four year consecutive groundation. For bad grades. xD

Sad part is, that's the only thing they can ground me for.

... that and getting locked in the library overnight. Multiple times. ^.^;;

Wow. Sounds like she should ground your friend's parents instead. :P

My parents never ground me. Probably a good thing too. Or else I'd constantly be grounded. ;x

My parents HAATED driving my brother and I around. But i wasn't allowed to take the bus anywhere until i was older, yet they wouldn't take us places.

Eventually i started riding the bus. I moved out and now they feel that if they dont give me rides when i ask once and a while, i may not wanna talk to them or something XD

My mom hates driving me places, too. It's one of our favorite arguments, haha. Luckily, I have a friend who lives about a half a mile away and I have gas money. It works out in my favor XD

But yeah.. I got grounded once when I lived at home. It was two weeks, but I think part of the leniency on that was because I tattled on myself, and my mom actually did my the kindest favor in grounding me. Sometimes it takes a big screw up and the consequences before you can see a situation clearly.

I had this really verbally abusive step-mom once. She got knocked up with my brother, and like... She was moody and grounded me on the last day of school. For the whole summer. Why? I asked her, and her answer was literally "Because I can." What's worse is I had to clean the house daily all summer. ALL. SUMMER. No friends, no hanging out, no TV, no CDs or toys or my bike. Just cleaning.

You get locked in a library by reading books in the back aisles where there's plenty of sunlight. And not having a visible clock/watch.

It was all good. They had a coffeemaker and some pastries.

My mom hasn't driven in 25 years. :P We have subways, so she doesn't need to drive. She plans on learning again this summer though.

My parents have never grounded me. Ever.

Even when I do something they SHOULD ground me for. D:

My mom doesn't really mind dropping me off somewhere, but when it comes to picking me up... oh gosh. She always seems to be suddenly 'busy'. I almost never have rides home. Which isn't so bad because most of my friends drive already and they don't mind, or she just tells my older brother to pick me up, lol /:

My mom flipped a shit last night because I wouldn't eat my steak.

Yet it's apparently my fault that whenever I eat it, I seriously get sick to my stomach :(

My parents don't 'officially' ground me. They just take all my cool shit away and tell me I'm not allowed on the computer.

But it never lasts long.

For example, my mother 'grounded' me for a week. The night it happened, I asked if I could play a video game.

Guess what her answer was?

'Okay, sure :D'

I was just like: LOL WTF

My dad is like that. He gets irritated over really bizarre things... Thank goodness my mum has a good sense of justice and a cool head. I remember sitting and watching Chocolat, I was cold so I had a blanket over me. I usually use the blanket when it's cold. He's never said anything about it. I have no idea why he'd go mad over it...or why anyone would get mad over it. Anyway, he comes in and yells at me and tells me I'm not allowed to use it, and that I have to put it back. So I go and put it back. Then he tells me I'm,"banned from this -points at tv screen- for a week". Wondering why I'm banned from watching movies (or maybe it was tv in general) I went to the computer. He yelled at me and said I'm banned from that too. Lolwhut? I go upstairs and complain to mum, and she talked to him and I was allowed to watch tv and use the computer again.
