I was thinking of riding my bike to work today since it's a nice day and I need exercise anyway.

But I forgot my ankle/foot are still injured and very sore, and the motion of the pedals probably won't do much to help.

On with my issue and need for advice:

I sprained my ankle this past Wednesday. The discharge instructions the ER doctor gave me stated that if the injuries don't get better within 5 - 7 days, I should follow up with my family doctor. The swelling's gone down, but there's one spot that refuses to go back to normal. The pain in my foot is also spreading.

Should I go back or should I just wait to see if it gets any better?

I can hobble on it, but after a while, it starts to throb.

Wait a couple of days. I sprained my ankle badly 8 years ago, and it was the size of a potato. The Dr. in the ER said that he could've broken it right then and there.

Mine got better with an air cast.

Go and visit the doctor. Better be safe than sorry. There can still be an inflammation because of the injury. Or something else is wrong. So... better go to a doctor than making it worse maybe. :c

Good luck! :3
