i think you should give it more time. cats are weird like that.

i am thankful she is chipped so maybe that will help out if someone picks her up. at least feel good knowing that she can certainly fend for herself... at least, what i mean is, cats are good at escaping and doing ok for themselves.

i'd definitely put some flyers up and/or online. maybe post at petsmart (if you have one in your area). i wouldn't worry just yet.

I agree with Shatzy. Cats are really strange, they don't seem to follow any sort of routine. It's hard to predict when they're going to come home. I have two cats and I live in an area where there's coyotes and mountain lions everywhere, but my cats are smart and usually stay pretty close.

Occasionally the younger one will stray off, but she'll come back. I had a Siamese who would leave for days on end, but he would always come home safe. Just give it time, and if she doesn't show up, try putting up fliers.

Better safe than sorry.

Good luck finding her ): Hopefully she comes home soon.

One of my cats once 'ran away' and came back a week later. Animals usually know where their homes are and with any luck, she'll be back.

Oh, God. I hope she is alright.

Maybe you should leave some of her food outside?

I'll pray for your cat D:

I'm, so sorry for your cat. My cat goes on vacations and she's 14. She was gone for 2 weeks once. Your kitty should be fine. We have coyotes around here too, but I really hope your cat is ok. Hope for the best and I'll pray for your kitty too. ;)

the declawing thing is a bit of a downer for me. however, like many have stated, i still feel confident that cats are a species on their own and hopefully she is just exploring and will come home when she is done. ^_^

De clawing is one of the worst things you can do to a cat :/

A cats claw is not simply a nail (< click)

They have caps for claws that are inexpensive and keep the kitty from destroying things.

But i've had cats go missing for a month or two, and just wander back like "O, hey guys."

Why on earth did you let a DECLAWED cat outside in the first place???

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think he would return. Having a cat with no way to really defend itself can only end badly, especially if you have coyotes that are also know to kill dogs. I would take it as a tough lesson and keep your other kitties inside.

Caduceus said it. A little harsher than I would've, but still. She doesn't even have claws and you let her out knowing there are coyotes around? =/

She might come back. It could be like others have said and she's just out wandering like cats do, but damn.

Letting a de-clawed cat outside isnt so much a bad thing. We had a cat that was de-clawed in the front and she fended for herself quite well ( we adopted her that way, before anyone starts). She preferred to be outside, she was quite literally an outside cat.

Letting them out in a controlled environment (like a suburban area) is fine.

I am really sorry, losing a pet is so tough. My cat has been gone for 5 weeks now, so I don't think I will find him. He is fixed and also de-clawed. Before anyone yells though, we did not let him out. We came home from work and school to find him gone, no idea how.

cats can also fit in small places. So double check the cupboards. sometimes when animals are sick they go places to die so they won't hurt people they love. not saying that that's what has happened, just consider it.

On the subject of declawing... All of my cats have been and currently are declawed. I see no problem with it, tbh. If they hadn't been, I'm fairly certain two of them would be dead due to extremely aggressive fighting. Also, my grandfather (who had Alzheimer's) more than likely would have gotten seriously injured at some point.

So, saying it's one of the worst things to do? No. My cats are fine. They recovered from the surgery within days, without complications. They show no signs of distress or pain. They're quite happy. In fact, they're pretty much spoiled rotten. xD

Neutering isn't wrong either. That keeps them from breeding out of control and creating more animals that will just be put down in shelters or abused.

Flees before she starts a debate :x

Sorry, sorry; I still hope your cat returns, !
