I don't know. I first started noticing the bugs quite a while back- I don't remember how long, anywhere between a week to a month. I was thinking since they are so simple and an important part of the site, that they would get fixed immediatly. Half of me says to let it go, that they'll fix them eventually for us because of the stuff they've got that's so important. But then I thought, what if they're neglecting to fix internet explorer user's bugs simply so they can get them to use fire fox. Now I don't think that makes a lot of sense but you just never know. In many places you can see that subeta likes fire fox a lot better and highly recommends it. But I would think that if the site wanted to keep the users, they would fix them for other brower users.
Just, thought I'd get that out in the open. I have no idea if I'm right and I'm seriously am hopeing that I'm wrong.

There are a limited number of staff that can fix bugs... It would seem logical that those that can do so would focus on bugs that are not browser-specific.
Since staff has made it clear that they recommend a specific browser it makes sense that they would want to focus their efforts on making sure the site works as well as possible in what they recommended...
Actually it should be the makers of IE that should fix THEIR bugs so that we wouldn't have the problems in the first place. I am sure they have a lot more resources and people at their disposal. If the people at firefox can offer a better browser with fewer bug then why can't IE?

I'm with Jessyta. I think they're focused more on sitewide problems, that happen to everybody. Instead of browser problems. I never used IE well, atleast not in the last four years.
I highly reccomend that anybody using IE to just switch. (i have four browsers on my computer, they all work fine, and don't mess with eachother at all)
Hi all! For those of you who don't know me, I'm alx, Subeta programmer. Just thought I'd chime in here with a couple of points.
Firstly, you should be using Firefox, or Opera, or Chrome, or anything but IE. I'm not saying this because we're secret members of the Firefox World Domination Society (meetings are on Tuesdays, btw), but because IE has a long history of major security problems. Not using IE is probably the single best thing you can do to improve your computer security. Honestly, it'd be safer to not use any antivirus software and use Firefox than to browse the web on IE. I'm not kidding.
That said, I know there are some people who can't use anything but IE (for example, I've met people whose parents won't let them install Firefox). So we do try to support IE as much as possible. But, you have to understand something:
IE sucks to program websites for. It's buggy, quirky, nonsensical, and even rebellious at times. I can spend 20 minutes writing some cool feature that will work on Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Chrome (and even on my cell phone) without any problems... but chances are I'll have to spend twice that amount of time making it work in IE.
So we try, where we can, to support Subeta in IE. But sometimes there's no easy fixes - to get something to work in IE we'd have to completely redo it a different way. This takes time... time we could be spending fixing problems, like JESSYTA says, that affect everyone.
So we're not saying don't use IE... you are more than welcome to, and we will try to make sure that you can do most things on the site with it, but your experience will be far more enjoyable (and faster!) if you use another browser... and not just on Subeta.

As has been stated, its always been made clear that Subeta is optimized to work best in Firefox. Not a problem for me to use it; I was hugely resistant at first, but it was amazing how fast I got used to Firefox.
I would just like to point out that yesterday Safari 4 was released, and it's (at this point) the fastest/most compliant with HTML5 browser there is.
That can change... tomorrow though. ;)

I also became a Firefox person when we had to take my daughter's PC in to have it 'scrubbed' of all the spyware and crap; first thing they did was install and explain the benefits of Firefox. I'm definitely a believer now.
I don't know, for me IE has always worked better than firefox for just about everything except Subeta. It ran faster, crashed less, and so far (after near three years of use) I have not encountered any severe security problems because I'm good about keeping those programs up to date. So having to switch to firefox when I get on subeta, when I want my wardrobe to work properly or my trades, and in some cases my shop, is just rather annoying and firefox crashes for me rather frequently which adds to this. I understand though, that IE probably takes a considerable ammount of time to code in and that it works differently from other browsers. But it's just a little hard not to feel neglected you know?
Its not that big a deal to switch. I have more problems with IE crashing (I HAVE to use it for work) than I ever have with Firefox. You have the latest version? I very often have both Firefox and IE open at the same time; switching back and forth is a breeze. Just takes a click.
I've tried uploading the latest version several times, but it never seems to take. I suppose I just have a lousy computer XD but it freezes every time I try. Maybe it just doesn't like firefox, I don't know. Everything else works fine. XD
IE isn't "harmful" per se... it's not a bad program in and of itself. Saying it is "linked to your hard drive" makes no sense literally. I assume you're paraphrasing a common example you'll find in discussions about IE:
For the longest time, IE was tied programatically to something called Windows Explorer, the software that shows the desktop, windows, and icons on your computer. This meant that any malicious website which could gain control of IE could automatically take over the entire computer. Why such a stupid design? It's just a question of priorities:
When Internet Explorer was first created (1995), the Internet was just getting started and computer security wasn't a big deal. Thus, when IE started out it was very trusting of websites. The programmers didn't even think that one day there may be sites that try to take over your computer. Attempting to unify browsing files and browsing the web seemed like a natural thing to do.
Of course, computer security turned out to be a big issue, and Microsoft has been very slow to fix IE at all. IE6, which came out around Windows XP's launch in 2001, was the last version of IE for FIVE YEARS. IE7 wasn't released until 2006. IE7 finally began to address IE's core security issues (including finally separating IE from Windows Explorer).

Solution:
Get firefox. Install IE TAB (which allows you to use IE engine while in firefox to browse the site) as firefox add-on.
There, you can always browse your pages in IE just by right clicking on a firefox tab and select switch rendering engine and in firefox at the same time. Happy IE people with good subeta experience, Y/Y?
I use firefox for the simple reason stated above. IE is targeted for attacks by spammers, viruses and spyware. It is the most widely used around the globe and therefore attackers love it. Firefox has never let me down.
I understand why the staff is working on the problems that affect everyone and not just the problems in IE, I also understand that IE is a difficult thing to work with (obviously :P I have to trust you guys on this).
I dislike people saying that the solution is switching to firefox or anything else. Like has stated already; some of us don't have to opportunity to do so. My parents won't let me change to firefox and since it's their computer I won't change. And I'm sure a lot of other users still using IE have the same issues. If people say the solution is firefox and you cannot or aren't allowed to use firefox - then what?
Again, this isn't to critic on the staff or anyone - I understand why they make the site work for firefox. I just think that some users may not have the easy solution of changing and it's kinda sad for them.
You could always send emails that contain websites that state things like what alx said (about how IE is buggy and unsafe) to your parents as a friendly nudge.
If they still say no, then you could always plant a virus and say "OH SEE WHAT INTERNET EXPLORER DID? GOSH YOU SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ME!"
Or you know, save up for your own computer.
LOL xD If only I could do that, but I would feel guilty so that's impossible. I'm saving up for my own computer ^^ but in the end that's not a great solution either 8D
There are people like me who because of our internet providers, net zero for example, who have IE and the internet they use wont switch to FF. I cant afford wifi or anything spiffy internet wise so I have to make due with the cheap stuff. I feel rather neglected when a site wont keep people like me in mind.
Would I just LOVE to have FF, yes. I am Then you have to keep in mind people who's parents or family wont let them DL FF and make them use IE. So I stand with Risatinaaa, I would just love them to do something for IE problems.
Wait... people still use IE? I thought basically everyone used Firefox, or Chrome or something. (Though I dislike how Chrome tends to make Shockwave fail...)
