Do you? Got five of them. It's almost disgusting 8D. All girls. Never liked the huge testes on the guys. :<

Do the rats living within the walls of my humble abode count?
:((( Hm. I meant as more of a voluntary choice, but sure. ;) Just don't talk about gettin' the exterminator on them. Then again, I can't blame you. Domestic rats are quite different. Wild rats/sewer rats are...considerably more intimidating, hurr.
;_; It is, indeed. Ah well, they are snake food. ._____. They're so much more, though!

Lucky you! Rats are so cute! I have always wanted one but my mom thinks they're to creepy. :/ Although I'm not so fond of the ones that creep around your house and eat all the food you leave out for more than three seconds.
My mom wasn't too keen on them, either- if you can convince her, domestic rats are wonderful. Female rats are also considerably smaller than males(more like large mice ❤)- most people are squicked by the tails, and my mom was very put off by them at first, as well- but domestic rats are different. They have personalities as loving as a dog or a cat if you socialize them properly, and they're wicked smart. </shameless promotion>
Of course, for her, she had a horrible time adjusting to the tails. :< It's sad that rats have such a lousy reputation.

Yeah, that's what she hates about them."ewww! The tails look all weird, like worms!NO way" So we got a hamster that practically shredded her hands from day one. I'm not blaming the hamster, though. My mom REALLY doesn't know how do handle animals. She's fucked up some dogs(psychologically) that don't even belong do us -.- .
luuuuulz. x3 Rats are actually incredibly interactive, and actually love back. It seems to me like hamsters are more, "AAAWWW LOOK HOW CUTE crap it bit me" I've never been savagely bitten by a rat. Your mom might have a talent, though- then again, one might really fall for her, much to her horror. >B

I love rats! I got one a couple months ago now and she's the cutest thing. Even my mum loves her which is a big surprise.

Aw.. we had four, but then we couldn't take care of them so we let them out in the wild. o.o They were smart things though. Lets see, Jack, more of the dominant one, Rae, the second dominant one, Munchies, the third dominant one, and then Dusty. All males. I want another rat..
Rats are 50/50 for me. If they're pets, then yeah, sure, I'll pet it.
Wild? NOH.
Gemm, get one. I have been somewhat tempted to get a male because females are loath to sit in your lap for more than a couple of minutes. Energetic little crappers, they are.
Anna, Dotti is adorable. Here are some of my girls.

Hairless one is Splotch, darker brown one is Bean, and the white ass you see belongs to Cream. :B

No, but I bet my new kitty would love them to play with until he's big enough to eat them. Joking! I love their bodies/face, etc. but the tail. Ew! Couldn't do it.. it just looks.. ew!
Rats are adorable as pets, though I can't recall ever having one personally. But I took care of my neighbors pet rats a while back. Those rats were the sweetest little rodents I'd ever met! However, if I ever saw a wild one, I'd probably freak out, since wild rodents carry a lot of diseases & can be pretty vicious if you get too close.

I just got 3 baby girls from a woman who breeds them in my area. They're so cute! I've also had 4 boys in the past, but I decided to see if girls were different. THEY'RE CUTE LOLz.

My brother was attacked by a rabid sewer rat once, if that counts.
And we had mice, for a while. Named them after the seven dwarves. And my friend Jem had a rat. ^_^
