This isn't really a relationship thing, or an issue that needs advice, so that's why I put it here, in the main CC forum. If a mod thinks otherwise, feel free to relocate this. :D

So, I recently got back in contact with one of my 8th grade friends. Haven't seen him in over a year. Now, I've changed quite a bit since we last hung out; my hair's different, I've lost about 30 pounds due to medicine that caused my appetite to decrease drastically, and I think I may be a bit taller, but I'm not sure if it's noticeable.

Thing is, when we used to hang out, he was kinda short, and a bit on the chubby side, but he had a cute face. Well, when I called him up to talk, his voice was much deeper than it used to be. Meaning, he's finally pubertizing. xD (my word, you may use it wherever you wanna)

So, this leads me to believe he may have grown taller, or maybe he's a bit less chunky. :o But I'm single now, since my stupid boyfriend broke up with me for no reason. x(

Anyway, I'm trying to schedule a movie trip with him and two of my other friends. I'm really nervous, cos I've missed him, and I wanna see if he's changed much, past the voice.

So, uh, CC, have you been reacquainted with some long-lost friends recently? :D

I have! :3 Although she was a girl so I don't know how much help I'll be in that area...XD One of my best friends from kindergarten through third grade wound up in my AP US History class this year. We had a great time reliving all our old memories, even though we hang out with different people. We're still pretty close, after all that time. I hope you guys are too. ^^

I had a boyfriend three years ago who had to move out of state.

Now, prior to moving, he was a confident but sweet, tall, slightly chunky blondie with the cutest baby blues I'd seen in a while. He was sensitive, but not overly so, and wouldn't hesitate to handle issues that were bothering me.

He moves.

He moves back one year later.

He hadn't grown whatsoever, while I had gained three inches on him. His baby blues were dull grays, and he was skinny to the point that I was convinced he fasted the entire time he was gone. He was quiet and overly self-concerned, not really caring what I felt or thought. He expected me to, after one year of no contact whatsoever, take him back with open arms.

Unfortunately, he'd changed enough that I couldn't picture him as the tall country boy I dated prior to the move, so that little expectation got trampled in the dirt.

Keep in mind that yes, he may have changed physically, but he's more than likely changed emotionally, too. I wouldn't get overly eager to see him; he could be the same person as he was then, or he could be the polar opposite. XD;; You never know.

I haven't really met up with old friends recently. I guess I'm just busy with the friends I have and making new friends. (:

There is one friend in particular who I'd like to be-friend again. We used to be really close but we grew apart and some major drama ensued. It's been 4 years now and I've been in touch with her, but I haven't really seen her. I'd love to get back together with her to see how she's doing.

Oh, and this is WAY off-topic, but just in case you haven't heard...

Well, when we talked over the phone, he sure was acting the same way! XD We were talking about Mario Kart, and he was going on about how he wants to kill all of the Bullet Bills that have ever smashed him from behind. :D

Lol, yes, I've seen it. Have my copy sitting on my nightstand next to my desk. Mmmm, sexy. :P

I've gotta say, that's one of my favorite things he's ever said. Besides this:

Random Paparazzi person: Where'd you get your shoes, Adam? Adam: I, uh... I killed a snake in the jungle!

I go through stages of reconnecting with friends that I have lost touch with from high school or thereafter. It is fun to get reacquainted, and like in my case a few years back wind up dating the guy I swooned over in high school :D
