What do you consider love, and how do you really know someone loves you? I've been wondering this forever and yes I suppose it must differ a little with each person and or couple but I would like to know what you guys consider love. I'd also like to know how you know someone loves you back, and not just because they say they love you. Personally the words i love you are over used nowadays. They don't always help you understand a persons true feelings considering some people say it and don't mean it and others do mean it but don't say it. I think love is when you can't see yourself with another person. When the little dorky things or tiny details are what make you smile. But honestly,I don't know whether I'm right or wrong,so I'd like you're opinions. I suppose nobody can be wrong though but still. So to recap: What do YOU consider love? How do you know someone loves you?

Love is the feeling you get when you go to a restaurant and look at the menu but instead of getting the double thick quarter pounder hamburger with pepperjack cheese you get the quadruple thick patty on a sesame seed bun with all the slices of provolone you can handle.

To me, love has always been defined as the affection I have for someone I feel the need to constantly have by my side. I hold a longing for them that is stronger than what I usually feel around others.

I know that someone loves me because they will say it repeatedly, without changing their mind about how they feel down the line.

I think it has a highly personal, and indeed cultural, element. To me, love is when even sitting in silence with a person is comforting.

BABY DUN HURT ME, DUN HURT ME, NO MORE! 8D

Sorry, I absolutely could not resist. :P

For me, love is when I find a guy that I have a ton in common with, we get along perfectly, and he lets me wrap my arms around him/cuddle up with him whenever I need to be near him. That was the only flaw with my previous, and first, boyfriend. :x

Ahhh, we think a like.

I believe that love is when you cannot see yourself with another person. They make you happy, but not delusional. You understand they are human, and have flaws.. but embrace every bit about them and approch them with compromise and understanding. They can make you every emotion there is in the book in a single breath they make, and all you want to do is help them so they are happy at almost any cost to you. Not only do you make them a better person, but they make you a better person too.. At least to me, there has to be some form of possitive progressive internal growth between two people. You can see yourself with them. You review your future over and over, and can even come down to specifics that are unique desires for only you two. You know them inside and out, from their best to their worst. And when you do, you understand their reactions to almost any situation-- what they would say yes or no to, what they would support or despise.. etc. etc. etc....

I dunno. I don't feel like going on about it. It's complicated. My kind of love has a lot of thinking tagged to it.. it's why I almost never say it. I never even say it for little things like, ''I love this song.'' That kind of love is too fleeting for me to really consider.

Choose my words carefully.
