I was supposed to start my period like tuesday or wednesday, I'm on birth control so it's regulated, it SHOULD have come!

I'm 25 years old, been with my boyfriend for four years now, but unfortunately I've been debating on breaking up with him because he's been such a jerk lately, and I'm transgendered(female to male) which has been a lot of problems for us.

I mean, I can raise a kid, I've helped raise all of my siblings, especially my youngest sister who was born when I was 13 so raising a kid isn't going to be a problem experience wise. Financially it might... and I REALLY hate having to be molested by doctors which I'll have no choice but to be if I'm pregger DX

Sigh... I just really wanted to vent, I'm just so nervous. I've actually always wanted to have a kid, despite my gender problems, but as I mentioned I've been debating on breaking up with my BF because I'd rather not have to deal with his attitude and sex.

I'm also REALLY worried to because I've been taking phentermine since I'm on a diet, it's a hunger suppressant. It's also supposed to cause like temporary sterility or something, that's what it says on the bottle. So you'd think I'd not be able to get pregnant right now with that on top of the BC. But I'm afraid that it might cause birth defects or something, that just terrifies me.

Ugh, wish me luck, hopefully I'm just late....

Well it sounds to me like you don't want to be pregnant, so I hope you are just late. But if you really want to know for sure, you should get a test and find out. I know some people wouldn't want to do that, because if the test was positive they couldn't deny it anymore. The best way to be sure about this is getting a test - if it is positive then you can think about your next step; if it is negative then you don't have to worry anymore ^^

How long have you been on your Birth Control? For the first like, 6 months or so you can have odd periods. You can be on time, and then late sometimes, but eventually it should even out.

Ive been on mine for two years now and sometimes im late. But other things can cause this. It sounds like a lot of whats going on between you and your BF could be a factor in the late-ness.

STRESS is the biggest thing that can cause you to be late. That's what usually happens with me, and trust me. When i'm late, i get super paranoid about it (even if its only by like, 2-3 days)

This phentermine may also be a cause. have you done any research to see if it reacts badly with BC? I would think something that can cause sterility could completely mess with your hormones as well.

I know certain antibiotics can completely negate the effects of BC. Lets hope any kind of medication you may be on isnt something that could also do this.

You might not be pregnant. Just because you're on birth control, doesn't mean that your period will always be perfectly regulated... But I'd suggest getting it tested anyway. You don't want anything unexpected to happen, and if you are, it's better to have more time to think about all of your options.

If you're just starting the diet that could be the reason why you're late. A lot of times if I change eating habits I'll be late. Stress can make it come late too (which...it sounds like you've got plenty of that).

But you should still get a couple "early detection" pregnancy tests and take them.

Sometimes birth control pills can screw with your period, especially if you miss taking it regularly (even like... one day, or a few hours off). Not talking from experience, though. I refused to take them... I'm female-to-male too and I didn't want the extra estrogen in my body. Could just talk with your doctor to make sure.

Even if you want a kid, really, I have to say, don't have one until your LIFE is ready for one. You may feel you are (not saying you are or aren't), but if you're not in a place where you can make the financial commitment, not to mention the time. I don't mean to be patronizing. It's just that I've met a lot of people who were over-eager to have a kid or two, and they ended up having to quit going to college, or work two crappy jobs to support the family, and that's not a place I'd want to see anyone in.

Also, if you don't want to see the doctor, check into a local Planned Parenthood clinic. They offer free testing, advice, etc.

May I ask how much you weigh? If you've lost some weight recently ,even if it's not that much it can mess with your cycle. Last time I lost a signifigant amount of weight I didn't get my period for over 3 moths..
