Are there certain words you won't use? Maybe because they remind you of something gross, or a bad memory?

Personally, i hate the word pimple. aggh. its a disgusting word XD

I also hate the word funnel to describe tornadoes. i have a pretty big fear of tornadoes.

I try not to cuss a lot. It comes out when I'm reaaalllyy mad, but otherwise, I just don't see a use for them. They're ugly words. I even have my filter up on Beta. XD

Other than that, nothing really.

racial slurs. 'beaner', the 'n-word'... stuff like that. i also really don't like saying 'fuck', though i do anyway.

I swear alot, but if there are any words I hate, nothing beats 'snog' and 'knickers'. Snog sounds like kissing, but really dribbly and unromatic. And Knickers is like pants, undergarments, whatever, but that word makes them sound itchy and big, like old women's bloomers.

Those words bother me. But my personal favourites are 'chafe' and 'cleft'. Heh.

There's only one word I won't use and that's the notorious four-letter C word (No, it's NOT crap :P)

When I say I won't use it, I mean I won't use it IRL. I will say it online if I'm extremely angry. I still hate it though.

There are words I avoid because I pronounce them differently to the people around me, and they notice and then the conversation gets very off-track. For example: Bowling (I can't do the deep 'wl' sound) , Advertisement (I say adver-TIZE-ment), Infamous (In-FAY-mous) and some others. Also, I say NEE-ther and EE-ther for neither and either...everyone I know says EYE-ther and NYE-ther.

And 'particularly'...I always end up adding another syllable somehow. So, I tend to avoid these words ;D

I think those words pronunciation really depends on where you're from.

Same as Selphie for me. Also avoid racial slurs.

"flirty" just beacause it's dumb. buzzwords and things coined on the internet or used in magazines. "blogosphere" "totes" idk stuff like that.

I try not to cuss either, especially not on Subeta. Or start fights on Subeta even though some people that piss me off SO much that I want to.

I can't get some words right so I avoid them. There's a whole bunch that I know very well and use in writing and everything but can't pronounce, no matter how hard I try. It's extra hard when it's the same word but different pronunciation in swedish! Say sergeant, which is pronounced ser-chant (sort of?) in swedish. I can't get SARJENT right on the first try EVER.

You'd be surprised at how often that word comes up in conversations :(

edit: I also say sheep instead of cheap a lot D: And I tend to pronounce sew the way it's written. I basically can't speak english at all. I can't speak swedish either, though you'd think I'd have had enough practice. Groan.

I avoid that one. Also another four letter word for a sex worker or someone promiscuous which starts with S. That one makes me cringe. Actually, there are a few that do. I'll ditto the derogatory F word for gay men and add the D equivalent for women.

Mmm, they would be my top four.

I say a lot of stuff. I cuss a lot. It's teribble, but it comes out like its natural.

Ugh crusty and moist are gross words. :3 I hate the N-word, because of my lineage. I once cussed out some dude that was bigger than me for making racial comments. I think I scared him too. lol

my barn owner likes talking about the horses private parts and I cant stand it. she'll say like

Because it brings back a certain memories that remind me I'm a little silly girl with an inferiority complex. Lol.:(

I also really, really like to avoid swearing. I know it can slip when you're angry or upset, but most of the time I think there is a more effective way of expressing frustration.
