I am pretty sure I saw this somewhere else, but I can't currently find that thread so I am going to make one of my own, and if it gets locked up, that's fine.

I am a little frustrated (actually, more than a little) at the potion lottery no longer being drawn daily around midnight. In the past week I think it has been drawn once, and since there is an achievement attached to it, this is not acceptable IMO. I understand that it is manually drawn, but if the person (or people) assigned to draw it cannot do it, then it either needs to be handed off to another admin, or needs to be coded to go automatically. I know that coding is a pain, really I do, but I just can't see why running the potion lottery has been such an issue lately.

If we can't get it daily, and the system isn't going to be updated, then by all means, just let us know, either on the main page or by changing the description on the potion lottery page to say it will be run weekly, or what have you. Leaving us in the lurch is starting to get really old really quickly.

The potion lottery is usually automatic shortly after midnight but obviously something is messed up with it so it has to be done manually. Why it hasn't been done manually lately? I'm not sure. I wish they'd fix it too.

It's kind of frustrating also, but I'm hoping they fix it soon. I'm missing my potion lottery. D:

I brought those 26 tickets on May 27th. I miss it, but hopefully it will be fixed eventually.

Between this and the trivia, I'm getting really frustrated. If there is a problem with the lottery or the trivia, then I wish the staff would say so instead of letting the problem draw out for so long.

Yeah i have noticed this too, i bought more than one ticket and i haven't seen any changes yet

I think they should get this fixed soon because we (as the slightly annoyed subetans) are putting our own sP into the lottery by buying 1 or even 100 tickets, but thats isnt really the point, so want if we dont have much of a chance (like 1:200,000) at least we the chance of getting a potion was there, by tere being a problem or glitch or something, hence winners arent being chosen, our very little chance has just dissapeared into thin (and virtual) air.

Sorry if this in any way, shape or form has annoyed or upset anyone, i didnt mean to, this is just my point of view.

Keith said he doesn't post on boards like this unless it's fixed. I really wish staff would take a different approach and just let us know what's going on.

there's no screenshot of any such event on VULGAR's lookup, and he has no potion lottery trophy. (you get one when you win.) Potion lottery wins aren't listed in game scores either. so what makes you think he and Tche have won recently?

I buy 11-33 tickets for this lottery every day, and there has been no winner posted in the news since 5/26. And the number of tickets I've purchased for today's draw just keeps going up every day, instead of being reset to 0 like it does once they draw a winner.

There... is a search feature. It says search, right on the front page of the forums.

Now -- we are working on this. It has to do with the cron. Obviously, when I run it manually (which I'll do now) it runs just fine, gives out the achievement/potion/score/etc.

However, when it's run automatically (same file) by the cron at midnight, it does none of that.

It's something a little more complicated than fixing an error.

Is it only going to pick the winner for today when you run it, or will all the previous winners get the achievement/trophy?
