I am assuming that your pet would need a certain amount of intelligence to land this job. Does anyone have any idea what the minimum job requirement is? My pet has read 500 books and seems to be having trouble getting accepted.

There's a thread over in the achievement section that mentions people who have gotten that job and their pet int. I haven't looked at it in awhile, but when I did, it seemed that most of the pets who got the job had int in the 600+ category. It may be if you try often enough, you might get lucky. I'm not sure if its a minimum, or just a very, very low chance if your int is below a certain amount.

Intelligence has to be over at least 500. I didn't get it at 498, but I did at 500. Sometimes you have to try a few times. The person with the most intelligent pet on the entire site didn't even get it her first try. Just keep knocking, you'll get it. :)
