So I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday... and it was so AWESOME! Like I woke up from the anaesthesia and I was so freaking high. I've never done drugs before but I'm assuming that's what being high is like. I was so giddy and happy and saying the most random shit, it was awesome. And then my twin brother came out of surgery and he was crying. Apparently the anaesthesia either makes you laugh or cry. It was so awesome, though. I'm really bummed though because I can't eat solid food yet. But I've been recovering really well. Like I'm not in pain or anything and I've been able to get up and walk around and shower. And my boyfriend has been over taking care of me. He is so amazing. Anyways, I just thought I'd share my experience thus far. It has been good. Except I always get really tired around 4, take a long nap, and then feel kind of sick/nauseous the rest of the night. And the painkillers make me loopy. Hahaha. Would anyone else care to share?
I'm scared to go under. :c
A lot of my family members get super sick so I might be the same way. My mom said she vomited for 4 days after being put under her first time for surgery on her foot. :[
But, uh, glad you're enjoying it? xD
I had my wisdom teeth removed the last week of April. I had freezing done. It didn't get done by my dentist, but I had went to the emergency dentist because I was tired of my mouth being in pain. I could barely open and chew my food. I got all 4 out the same day. Was oozing blood after. I couldn't eat solid food for 4 days and I drank meal replacements.
I was terrified to get my wisdom teeth out (all four, they were all impacted), but beforehand the nurses were nice and it was fine. I don't remember acting really weird after the procedure, but I guess I was really funny. And then the pain kicked in. I have zero pain tolerance and my face swelled and bruised so much and I was just miserable. Ugh. The Vicodin they gave me to help with the pain made me feel really awful and so I didn't really like taking it. I didn't like feeling high/loopy/whatever, and not having complete control over what I was saying or how I was acting. Or the fact that my mouth muscles were all numb so I looked like a dumbass trying to drink water and stuff Yaaaaaaaay. :D
YES THANK YOU this is what i have been telling people for ages. it's amazing. i got to sleep all day when i had mine out and had vicodin popping out of my ears. 3 days of iced coffee and ice cream, OOHH NO PLEASE DONT I AM TERRIFIED OF NOT HAVING A CARE IN THE WORLD FOR A FEW DAYS.
Yeah I got all 4 of mine out too. I think they were impacted, but I don't really know. I was really scared to go under, but obviously everything worked out okay. :) I've been eating solid food since like the day after surgery because I found out that my body functions horribly without solid food...
I'm going to get my wisdom teeth otu soon. Got an aponment set up. Wishh me luck!
my brother got his wisdom teeth, he says it really hurts. coz he only got one.
Bleh, my experience was AWFUL! One of the worst of my life. :( I had a palatial expansion surgery done at the same time to help straighten my teeth though so it was probably worse than usual, lol.
But I couldn't eat solid food for 5 days, and I wasn't allowed to use a straw because apparently you can suck your stitches out. So I basically had to drink out of a squirter thing for almost a week, and all my painkillers and medications (T3s though yeeeeah) had to be mashed up into apple juice and tasted like shit. :( I probably lost like 10 pounds though, haha, and the first like, 72 hours I didn't sleep for a single minute.
BUT AT LEAST NOW I HAVE STRAIGHT WHITE TEETH.
I remember at one point after the surgery, when I was still a little dopey and tired from the anesthesia, they gave me a syringe of some heavy duty painkiller, and it was niiiice. I can't remember what it's called, but I do remember I felt so good after, haha.
I hated it! Well, the high feeling was ok, but it sucked. I was in so much pain!
plus i was like aware (not awake, aware with no pain) of what was going on halfway through my surgery. i heard them corkscrewing my tooth. bleck
Working on filled wardrobe achievement. Almost at 12k!
I'm so sick of wisdom teeth boards being created every 2 weeks. -.-
When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I wasn't ever really in much pain, but my mother made me take the pain killers anyway. All they really did was make me really happy and comfortable, then I saw shiny things and hid under my pillow. I only took them once because they scared me. O.o
I got my wisdom teeth removed this morning. To me the laughing gas they gave me was much better than the anesthesia. I have a fear of needles but after they gave me the laughing gas, I didn't care what they stuck in me!! I've been sleeping the whole day. Right now I'm eating pudding, but all I really want is a some chips!
I'm getting mine pulled out this summer...hopefully, I'm tired of them making my teeth bunch up on each other, AGAIN.
I already had braces. By the time my wisdom teeth are pulled, I'll have to buy some more braces myself :(
I haven't had my wisdom teeth taken out yet, but I had a regular molar pulled a couple years ago, and I loved it. The gas was so much fun, I didn't feel the needle when they gave me the anesthesia, and it was so cool to feel them yanking that tooth out. I could hear it popping and cracking, and I felt the pressure while they pulled and stuff xD Plus I had some nice codeine-tylenol pills for the pain that made me feel soooo good.
I hope mine don't come in :( I'm 18 now an I don't have any signs of them...but my fiance is 20, and his are just starting to come it.

i had all four wisdom teeth removed in one go with only injections to numb the pain...i was in the dentist chair for over 2 hours, as two were impacted and i needed part of my jaw bone removed to extract them, and emerged afterwards looking like a bruised chipmonk with tears streaming down my face...!!
laughs
even my mum cried when she saw me...i had 2 black eyes, bruising under my chin, bruising up both sides of my face and even down onto my neck...i was on liquid food thru a straw for nearly 3 weeks afterwards...
thank goodness we only get one set of wisdom teeth...!! XD
