:D I got complimented on my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t-shirt by a complete stranger today and it still makes me smile thinking about it now.

So, CC, have you been complimented recently? And what's the best compliment you've ever received?

I'm not too sure about the latter, but I think it's a tie between being described as "brilliantly funny, caring, sensible and mature but also absurd when the situation requires it" and being complimented on the way I think.

I suppose this is a little bit of a bragging time for you, CC. :D

lawl some random person commented me on my hair once and I was like ok, cool, thanks, see you later O.O I dont even like my hair, so it was weird that some random stranger did.

i once complimented a complete stranger on his shirt. he just looked at me weird and avoided eye-contact for the rest of the bus ride.

a drunk man followed my friends and i around my local park once, announcing to the world at the top of his lungs that i was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen...does that count...? :P

I usually get complimented on my hair and my creativity and stuff. I don't like being complimented, it embarrasses me.

- lol, when people compliment me on things I don't think are worth complimenting I don't usually acknowledge it as a compliment? xD but still, nice to know someone else likes your hair if you don't!

- :( that was a bit rude of him, I think. I was rather flattered and said thank you.

- xD it's a bit creepy but it counts, I suppose! although maybe it was the alcohol talking. :(

- I don't usually like being complimented either, so it's rare for someone to actually make one that has an effect on me.

i've been complimented a few times on my eyes. And once a random stranger complimented me on this black and red pants i was wearing. i don't like it because it embarrasses me, tough.

Someone at school complimented me on my ass once. :C I was like, "lolk, fuck off."

The weirdest compliment I ever received was someone saying they liked my nose because they couldnt see up my nostrils. o_o

Everyone comments on my gargantuan foot-size and tallness.

I mean...

I don't think that they're trying to compliment me...

Lol, not that recent, but one I remember is at Heathrow airport - they take your picture as you check in and check it just before you get on the flight (to make sure you're the right person lol). There was this middle aged Indian guy sitting there checking the photos, and I go up and he starts going "Oh wow, you have such nice hair - so long!" and holding up the queue lol. I was caught so off-guard. Normally the people who work there are miserable dicks.

I'm good at giving them genuinely (that's when I do it, really); if, for instance, I see a user here with an amazing-looking HA or username, I'll take the time to compliment them on it. I'm just not good at receiving them. I usually think they're either fake or compensation for me having given that person a compliment first.

But eh. That's just me.

I always get compliments on my hands and fingernails. One of my friends thinks I could be a hand model. :3 I don't get my nails professionally done or anything, so it's always flattering when people notice them.

As for the best compliment I ever recieved, when I was in China a group of random dudes wanted their picture with me, and then one of them called me beautiful. It really made my day, but I was too embarrassed to thank him or anything. xD

I got called beautiful all the time in china and stuff :( I think I look like a manga character to them: tall blonde and big-eyed haha.

Back in stiff ol sweden I get compliments from drunk men all the time :( does that count? Also like friends who get a kick out of saying I'm cute (seriously I'm half a m taller than them=not cute right?) but they definitely don't count, they're just being dumb.

And on some clothes, like dresses and stuff. It's nice when you've made an effort and people notice :)

Even when I do get a compliment, I have no idea how to respond because it doesn't happen often LOL

The other half gives me the sweetest compliments. Even though I don't agree I'm gorgeous it still makes me feel happy. ❤ Randomers don't really compliment me though. I think I give strangers the evils, without intending to. ;)

i guess the last compliment i got was from a girl in pe. we were playing basketball and she just walked up to me, looked me straight in the eye and told me i had amazing eyes. i was just like "okay." my face was probably something like e___e then i walked away. girls intimidate me rofl.
