Man, I'm really po'd right now. I'm the good little innocent kid in my family. I do everything everybody asks me to do, I help people all the time, and I get nothing out of it.

I get yelled at because I have my own opinion, and tonight was a clear example of it.

I never lie to my parents. I never have and most likely never will.

But tonight, when I was going to go make myself some ice cream, my brother was up at the counter, getting some. He had already gotten some earlier in the day, and the rule is that if you get some earlier you can't have some later.

I approached, and asked my mom why he got to get some. She said that he hadn't had any earlier. I knew he was lying. I said, "No, he's lying. I never got some." Both my sisters AND him had gotten some, but I hadn't. She thought I was lying. I stood there, gawking. How could she think I was lying to her? I told the truth all the time, and he always lied. I couldn't understand.

Then, later on when my brother was getting mad at me for ratting him out, I just ignored him. Then my mom came in the room, and told me to leave and watch tv in another room. I had to move, and not him. He got away with it, yet again.

Have any of you had this problem?

  1. I love your username.
  2. Things like that happen all the time. It's unfair, we know, but you shouldn't worry too much. ;)

Thanks, Deity. :) I gues I'll just ignore him more. I can try, but I won't always succeed.

Ah, the same thing happens to me, except my grandmother is like you brother. All innocent and nice to me when my Moms around, but as soon as she leaves my grandmother goes all Mr. Hyde on me. Dx I envy those with nice little old cookie baking grandmas. >.<

Ahem, but anyways, =X the hidden camera thing sounds pretty good. =P

Actually, when I sat down with my ice cream, he continuously called me names for ratting him out, so I just ignored it. Then, I thought: Well, he wouldn't call me names in front of a camera, would he? Then I walked over to my computer and grabbed the camera, turned it on, and set it on the table I was sitting at, and pointed it at him.

He then proceeded to say hello to the camera. I said, "You got anything to say to me?" and he went all innocent and said, "What?" In that joking tone. I was like, okay then. Then the battery ran out, and he said "Oh, the battery ran out, fatty!" and I just turned it off.

Yes, but I'm an only child.

My parents think that, oh, she's a teenager at /that/ age. She's obvoiusly doing things that she shouldn't be and lying to us.

Case and point, they thought I was pregnant for a month, based on the way I was acting and the way I was eating, even though I'm STILL a virgin. They thought I was lying.

They also thought I was on drugs when I get massively pissy for no reason.

They also thought I was lying when I told them, "No, I AM doing okay in school," even though they can see my grades online and could easily see that I was doing fine.

It's an age thing. Because of our age, they think that we are doing thinks like other teens may be.
