I recently saw some pets that seemed to be wearing different items that I thought were for HAs only, and I'm wondering if that was just art someone did, or if pets really CAN wear certain items. If they can... is there a list somewhere?

These are called overlays; a clever coding trick. You can commission an artist to draw one for you if your pet has a specific design in mind, but pets cannot normally wear clothes...the overlays simply give the pets the appearance of wearing clothes. For example, most of my pets have these overlays...

No no no. Sweetie; those were pet overlays. Basiaclly someone edits the original image of a Subeta Pet, changing it's color or draw clothes on it, and then there's a code that hovers the image over the actual image of your pet.

Keith has stated there will NEVER be actual wearables for pets.

I agree with ; the idea of a pet wardrobe scares me to no end since I saw the dress-up dolls they call pets on Neo. Another round of seeing my beautiful pets turned into things like that would be too much for my nerves, that's for sure. :x

Definately third this opinion. Could you imagine how simplified the pets would have to become in order to do that? ): It's practically the thing that made Neopets lose its appeal.

Haha, to each their own I suppose. A few of my pets have wearable overlays. Anyway, they aren't hard to make, there's always Photoshop.

But I'd kill something if subeta simplified and redrew practically all the pet species >.<

shudders The mere thought of my babies being simplified is scary as hell. (Yes, I love my little mesh of pixels that much). I’m beyond glad that our site owner actually gives a shit about the users opinion and won’t allow bad things to become of our pets!

I'm with Kerise1. XD One of my quad pets wears different site clothing in his custom art (Pocky) but even though I have a lot of fun with that, I'm really glad the actual site doesn't have pet clothes. A lot of them would just look silly.

That’s so true. I think overlays of clothes are cool, since the pet still gets to retain their “natural” pose.

It’s when every pet is posed the same to be able to wear clothes is when a site starts going down hill fast.

Overlays with clothes can be pretty awesome, there are some I've seen that I adore. The scary thing for me would be the redraw of the Pets if we'd have actual pet clothes here...all those weird arms / fins / wings to hold items for example, that's not good at all. imagines a Fester holding a candle and shivers ;n;

Pets and clothes? Wtf, where did i see that before? Right, Neopets. Wearable for pets is to childisch i think. xD Some little things on a overlay is okay but a whole wearable funtion for pets is just pathetic.

Do you think it would be okay for me to make HAs for my pets on a site like, wardrobe wizard, save the imagem and put it on their profiles? Or do you think I'd get my acc frozen for doing that? I mean, I'd be making HAs with clothes and items I don't own, but it wouldn't even be for me, it'd be for my pets...

What do you guys think?

Ana_Bolinho - that should be fine, a lot of people have avatar versions of their pets on the pet profiles and I don't think all of them use clothes that they actually have in their wardrobe only. C:
