Okay, last time I made a thread like this, most of my responses were telling me how awful SA is about their religious values... so please... just don't.

I went to my favorite store today, CC.

Good ol' Salvation Army.

AND it was half-off day.

I bought:

4 shirts

1 pair of shoes

1 candle

1 teddy bear

and I spent a whopping seven dollars. [:

I had a nerdgasm over the shirts I bought, though. One of them, I changed into in the car, because I fgsfds'd over it. I actually found a perfect-fitting Umbrella Corp shirt. For fifty cents. Epic win for Resident Evil fans. c:

And then, another fifty cent shirt, a very nice conidition, too, a Nightmare Before Christmas shirt. A little big, but still awesome.

A Volcom shirt that isn't really all too great, but was cheap and fit well, and a sweatshirt for my stepdad. 0: And then some rad shoes. And a teddy bear, because bears are my weakness. AND AN EYEBALL SHAPED CANDLE.

Aaaaanyway. Tell me about your thrift store scores, CC.

Whoaa, awesome.

When I was little I used to always go to Goodwill because they always had Beanie Babys for like... $1. They were like $5 each in stores so I thought it was a super-awesome deal haha.

I want both of those shirts. :C

I went to a thrift store and bought the soundtrack from Pokemon the First Movie for two bucks. xD Perfect condition and everything. Call me a nerd, but I had just been talking with a friend the previous day about how I couldn't find a couple songs I wanted from it, and they probably don't even make the damn CD anymore. That's luck, right there.

I also bought a bunch of scarves and hats for 25-75 cents each.

If you wanna leave better build a rocket...

I pretty much live at thrift stores. But then again, I am horrible with money and they allow me to get more useless crap for my dollar. :'D

I would rage so hard if there weren't any good stores nearby. /: I SUGGEST YOU MOVE

I got me a Nirvana hoodie last week for about three bucks. I wear it just to wear it. When people ask if it's hot in it, I just tell them I feel cold (eventhoughitsnintydegrees lulz).

what's especially weird is that this is a college town -- and college towns are (should) be GREAT with that kind of stuff. but not this town... =(

the only thing i've found at our local salvation army worth mentioning is the jack lalanne juicer for $20... complete and in it's box. my partner really wanted one so he got one. LOL

Yeah, I don't exactly agree with what they project, but it's pretty much all I can afford anymore, so... yeah. :'D

Thought I'd throw this picture up;

And the shoes I bought fit perfectly and are generally awesome. c:

WHAT you are so lucky. we live by a "goodwill boutique" and i've read about people finding Kate Spade bags and some REALLY good stuf in the boutiques so i was really excited.

wtf there was nothing there. it smelled really weird and when i was looking at the knick knacks i discovered why.

the smell was really bad by a case of books and i pulled a book out and there was a BK bag behind it. complete with grease stains.

I'M GLAD YOU GOT SUCH GREAT FINDS.

the best thing i ever found at a salvation army (obviously better than any goodwill) was this adorable yellow children tshirt with baby insects on it. i wore it all the time. it was soft like kids clothing is

Lol, I get overly excited whenever I find a new thrift store somewhere... I'm taking a several-hours-long car ride to Nevada in a couple days, I plan on stopping at every second hand place along the way.

I... I always love the smells that come off of most of those stores. >: I'm hella creepy that way, but the teddy bear I got, I love it because it smells very distinct, not bad, but like someone elses' house. c: .../creeper

apparently there's a really good thrift store called the happy dragon nearby

YOU HAVE MOTIVATED ME TO BEG MY PARENTS TO TAKE ME THERE

we went to the good will the other day because i wanted new clothes and wtf the shirts there are practically the same as target, pretty much. there was a converse shirt for 5 dollars, it would have probably been like 9$ normally. i wanted it and my dad was like NO $5 IS TOO MUCH WE'RE LEAVING THIS SHITHOLE we were all very disapointed, tacky shit for pretty much regular price wtf.

last christmas we went to the sal. army and bought my dad like 5 hawaiian t-shirts for like $4. they were good name-brand stuff too.

THE SALVATION ARMY IS SUPERIOUR TO ALL.

So sayeth this Umbrella Corp shirt.

Ohhhh my God, not only did I get all this rad shit, I fucking FELL IN LOVE with my cashier. Seriously.

His name was Gary. And he freaked out at the shirts I got. It was like 'Oh you like this movie, Nightmare Befor- OH MY GOD IS THAT AN UMBRELLA CORP SHIRT HOLY CRAP' And then he told me a story about getting a Decepticon shirt from Goodwill or something, and I was like, 'Now I want a Decepticon shirt, bawwww'.
