My ear phones have once again died on me. This pair lasted about 6 months. Does anybody know a brand of headphones that'll last longer?

Mine never last for long either XD The right phone always dies. I'm using Philips at the moment and they work fine. Though I've always prefered Apple's original phones that come with an iPod.

I've always preferred these cheap, Sony ones.

Here (Canada), they cost me like $17 CAD, and they last a long time, plus they're the only ones that ACTUALLY FIT PERFECTLY in my ear. Its amazing.

The pair I had before were heaven though; Sennheisers. They're fucking expensive though.. but they lasted me a good year and a half, and they were preeetttyyyy, and they fit well and sound quality was good. So.. if you feel like spending $50, go for it. xD

I found that not only do Skull candies make the music sound surreal, they are also durable. I dropped my skull candy buds into the toilet and they still work perfectly! :D

I have that pair, but in black. I totally recommend those!

i recommend skullcandy ear buds, too. the sound is very high quality, and they usually come with different sizes of those little plastic things to fit in your ear better.

of course, my buds didn't last very long, maybe a month or two. D; but it's probably just because i kept chewing on the cord and i jacked up one of the buds so it didn't play music.

they are relatively cheap, though, so you can always buy another pair without taking a huge blow to your wallet. i think mine cost $14.

Skull Candy and Sennheisers are both worth shelling out for.

I had three pairs of Maximo earphones that all died after two months (I replaced them twice under warranty). So, definitely don't get Maximo.

I just got a pair of $30 CX300 Sennheiser earphones after deciding I didn't want to pay a shitload on $70 or $80 ones. They're pretty bass-heavy, but otherwise they're nice. I just got them a week ago though, so I can't really say if they last a long time.

If you don&;t wrap your cord around anything, it tends to not cut the wire, and they last longer. If you have to wrap it, make sure that it is in loose loops, not tightly wound.
Definately advise this too! I never wrap mine around anything and they still work perfectly after a year :).

Skullcandy = ❤ I use the 'Ink'd' version. They're $15 at Target. I also have their 'Skullcrusher' headphones. (I'm talking DJ style headphones) And they are amazing. Cant go wrong with Skullcandy.

SkullCandy Earbuds are amazing, and affordable.

However, I have heard that Bose (Boze?) In-Ear Headphones (they don't call them Earbuds) are supposed to be much better.

However, they are massively expensive.

So, I'd say, Skullcandy. I've had mine for over a year now, and I still love them.

I haven't tried the skullcandy ones, never heard of them until now. I was partial to my Gumy ones, the sound quality was good, the fit in my ear was nice, and he price was decent. They last for ~1 year for me before something snaps or breaks or my sister's kitten thinks they are her new toys. Although that was my fault for not putting them away. I'm also partial to these Sony ones that sort of go around your ear but I can't remember the name. They were comfortable and didn't pain my ear b/c they didn't go cramming inside it. I have small ears so finding comfortable earbuds is a challenge sometimes. Right now I am using the ones that came w/ my new sansa, after pulling off the fuzzy bit, they fit much nicer. The sound quality isn't the best, but it is acceptable.

As many other people have said, skull candy is pretty good. Sometimes when I can't get to sleep, I take them off my music player and just wear them to block out most of the sound.

Skullcandy is definitely a good choice, if you're going for something slightly higher priced. (not talking their headphones :P)

The JVC Gumy earphones are actually very nice too. I bought a pair after I murdered my Skullcandy ear buds awhile back, and they work wonderfully. I also want to think the wire seems fairly sturdy compared to other earphones I've had.

I have Skullcandy earbuds and I love them to death. They have a white cord and they come in all kinds of different colours (I got the dark pink ones) and they also come with three different sizes of silicone earpieces so that they always fit snugly. The sound quality is excellent too.
