I know they made some of the Redwall books into a rather crappy cartoon series, but I always thought they'd make kickass movies, provided they were extremely well animated and didn't shy away from the rodent violence.

It&;s not exactly from my childhood, but I&;d love the book &;The House of the Scorpion&; to be made into a movie.

Me too, me too!!! I'd also wanna see The Ear, The Eye and The Arm as a movie as well. Nancy Farmer's books are too good to go to waste.

Definately &;Fever, 1793&; or &;Blue Bloods&;. Two of my favorite books. ^^

Oh, I long for blue bloods to be a movie :)

I really loved to read Roald Dahl (sp?) when I was younger. Would love Witches to be turned into a movie. All the bald itchy headed women; maybe there's already one out haha, I'm not too sure.

The Kingdom and the Cave by Joan Aiken. It was the first book I bought myself while learning to read. I still love it. And of course I'm waiting for Youd's The Tripods to hit the big screen.

Though it would probably be a car chase in L.A :(

Tashi is about a boy who tells his friend about the adventures he had where he used to live. He appeared to live somewhere mystical and magical which resembles Asia. He did things like trick giants into not killing him for his bones so they could make dumplings, he got magical shoes from a king which let him fly, he escaped being cooked by an evil witch (I think she was called Yami Baba) and he met the world&;s last dragon who was the last one because he ate all the other dragons. He tricked the dragon into drowning in a river.

Ooh, I read that, once. That was quite interesting.

Most of the books I wanted to see made into films as a child have already been :neko: The Golden Compass, Watership Down, Harry Potter (obv. haha)

Well the only one I would like to see in theaters that hasn't been is The Giver, but I just looked it up and it's in pre-production for 2011--I'm stoked :D

The Tawny Scrawny Lion 6_6 The epic story of a Lion that learns to befriend rabbits, and eat delicious carrot soup for the rest of his days. Read it a million and one times when I was six.

They've already made a bunch of Jodi Picoult (Favorite author) books into movies, but I haven't seen any...They're Hallmark movies though so no telling how good they are.
