I know they made some of the Redwall books into a rather crappy cartoon series, but I always thought they'd make kickass movies, provided they were extremely well animated and didn't shy away from the rodent violence.
Me too, me too!!! I'd also wanna see The Ear, The Eye and The Arm as a movie as well. Nancy Farmer's books are too good to go to waste.

Oh, I long for blue bloods to be a movie :)
I really loved to read Roald Dahl (sp?) when I was younger. Would love Witches to be turned into a movie. All the bald itchy headed women; maybe there's already one out haha, I'm not too sure.
Mutiara, there is in fact a movie of The Witches! It's a bit old I think...but still good.

The Kingdom and the Cave by Joan Aiken. It was the first book I bought myself while learning to read. I still love it. And of course I'm waiting for Youd's The Tripods to hit the big screen.
'Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!'
Though it would probably be a car chase in L.A :(
Ooh, I read that, once. That was quite interesting.
Seconding Sabriel. And throwing in -- the other Old Kingdom novels. (especially the Abhorsen Trilogy)
Most of the books I wanted to see made into films as a child have already been :neko: The Golden Compass, Watership Down, Harry Potter (obv. haha)
Well the only one I would like to see in theaters that hasn't been is The Giver, but I just looked it up and it's in pre-production for 2011--I'm stoked :D
Cleared by staff. Too tall.
It's already been turned into a movie :x Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. man i loved that book. they made into a movie in January. ...which i still haven't seen AHHHH it needs to come on payperview soon.
The Tawny Scrawny Lion 6_6 The epic story of a Lion that learns to befriend rabbits, and eat delicious carrot soup for the rest of his days. Read it a million and one times when I was six.
They've already made a bunch of Jodi Picoult (Favorite author) books into movies, but I haven't seen any...They're Hallmark movies though so no telling how good they are.
Seconding this one. :P
No because I've only seen two good book ---->movie translation (LOTR, TO Kill A Mockingbird) Harry Potter = so far off.(sorry for Hp haters, that's the only one I can currently think of. I will edit when I think of others I've seen.*kicks brain for being on summer vacay half a day early)
Warrios Into The Wild!
The Silver Sword -- cant remember who by, but its about some kids in Poland when the war was going on.
It was a good book, it'd make a good film.
