Lots of you seem to have difficulty with this, and Subeta's reading drive page isn't very helpful either.

So try this.

1. programmed a useful tool that only needs the source code of your Reading Drive page. It will then show you what books you still need, providing useful trade/shop links and the cheapest price. It also tells you how much sp it will cost you to get to 200, 300, etc books. Click here.

2. Subetalodge has something similar. It doesn't show you how much sP it'll take you, but it looks a lot prettier. Works the same way Scarsdale's tool works, copy and paste the RD source code.

3. Use SubetaHQ's antiquated checklists. (Supports the functions of Monoclide, .)

4. Wikibeta has a list of all the required books as well, but there is no reason why you would use this for the Reading Contest with easier alternatives around.

5. Use your brains.

edit This shouldn't be in the Internet forum, it pertains to an ongoing Subeta event. This is useful information, don't sentence the topic to death by wrongly moving it to the cellar of Subeta.

Thanks, stijn! I was using SubetaLodge's system, but wasn't even aware of the others. Except , but as I'm an American teenager on summer break, that is out of the question. :)

SubetaHQ supports Scarsdale's page :)

Our antiquated checklists were meant so that people could make their own lists for all the random things we've been asked for lists for (dawn items, balloons, etc). We never claim to be excellent for the Reading Contest, and as far as I know all SubetaHQ staff has been using Scarsdale's site!

I'm really impressed with the amount of tools that users have for this reading contest!

I'm hoping that the competition between them (especially in the case of the two most useful, monoclide and SubetaLodge) brings great features for Subeta users ;)

Ryuu -- use the 1st website listed here.. lol, is what I did. There was a decent amount of books I didn't have... cheap, too. Now I'm 351/400.. and wondering whether or not I'll spend millions to get to the next level. >.<

You mean people can copy the source code of their checklist on sHQ to Monoclide?

Never said HQ claimed to be excellent at the Reading Contest (you're excellent at pretty much everything else!), just exclaiming my amazement why sHQ didn't pioneer something like this. :)

For some reason the monoclide list that I had been using isn't working for me now. It is telling me I still need books that I already have listed on my Reading Drive page. Help!

Also, how do you register there? I tried to and it took me to a page that said "Registration ID Number.". What is that?

Yes, this. I've been using SubetaLodge which is great but doesn't have the option of showing my list to anyone not me, so I thought I'd use both.

I can't use my brain. I already donated it for book points. HALP.

The Scarsdale/monoclide one doesn't require you to register to use it. You just copy your source code into the box.

To get the source code go to the reading drive page. Right click anywhere on the page and then click "View Page Source" (This might be labelled slightly differently on IE etc). A box then pops up, highlight all the text by pressing CTRL and A at the same time, press down the CTRL button and the C button at the same time. Go back to the mono clide page and click in the box where the data is supposed to be entered, cpress down CTRL and V at the same time. Click on Compute.

I have had no problems with this site showing me ones I've already handed in. If you continue to get this just scan the list of books on the reading drive page before you buy each book.
