Don't get Gift of Fashions Past. I don't want mine to deflate :P If you're for profit that's probably the better of the two. I got two and had items worth 9mil and 22mil.

But looking for what well sell the fastest without a huge discount needing to be added.

The DPs are a more stable profit.

I've opened Gift of Fashions Past several times and gotten items totaling anywhere from a giant loss to an actual profit. It's not a guaranteed profit but if you're lucky the payout can be bigger.

Ummm, I'd buy the Gift of Fashions past for a few reasons:

A) even if you don't open it, they're probably going to re-retire soon, so there's a profit for you B) if you DO open it, even if the items are deflated now, if you wait awhile, they'll probably go back up C) You get ten random retired items instead of just one. =3

But that's just my logic. You have a whole month to get the DP, so why not get the GoFP while you still can and buy more CSC later this month with some sP? =3

Possibly get two DPs then?
