WELL IT'S THE WORST THING EVER.

I went to the doctors, he's awesome. And since I already got surgery for a cyst, he said that since it grew back he is not optimistic about a successful surgery again. So he said he'll drain it. So I'm laying down and he sprays my wrist with freeze spray. Keep in mind this is the bottom of my wrist, not the top. So the freeze spray is burnin And he takes out this huge needle and I mean huge and thick as hell. And he shoves it in there and takes it out and shoves it in and this is going on for a while and I'm shaking and screaming my head off And it's the worst agony I've ever felt in my life, let me tell you guys. I've never felt so much pain, ever. And when he's done I start sobbing and sobbing. :( And now I have this nice cast and I can't draw Boo.

Aww, thank you. Umm hopefully. There is a chance it will grow back. If it does, I'm probably getting surgery again, and if they decide to drain it, I'm going to demand to be sedated.

Dude the freeze spray burned! My pinky still hurts from it! It's supposed to numb it. (It didn't work) XD

That sounds truly awful, fetus :( It was making me squeamish just reading it! I've never had a cyst that got big enough to require surgery/lancing and I hope I never do. I get tiny ones at the back of my ears and along my jaw but that's all.

That happened to my sister, except her cyst was on her cheek, about an inch underneath her eye. At first the doctor said it was fine and didn't need to be removed, but a few weeks later it ruptured and swelled up really huge, so they had to drain it and then remove it.

I hope that I never get a cyst. :(

OUCH! That sounds VERY painful! :(

I recently had an infection in my toe that swelled up really bad. They had to lance it. The Novocaine shots were the worst part. I didn't even feel them cutting my toe open, though, so I guess it was worth it?

There isn't a more efficient way to drain the cyst than stabbing you with a huge needle??

I never had a cyst, but I did have a wart removed from the bottom of my foot when I was 9 or 10. I screamed like a baby when the doctor sprayed the freeze spray and he told me once he started, all I had to do was say, "ouch ouch" and it would be over. I screamed it and it wasn't over. I remember I started crying and I laid on the bed screaming because it hurt so bad. Sorry you had to go though that. I hope I never have to again

I get cysts, but I've never had to have surgery for them - I have an idea of your pain, though. Mine are usually small and rupture and drain on their own and when they rupture.. holy hell and the cat's pajamas, it fucking hurts. And it doesn't help that they hurt prior to rupturing, anytime anything rubs against them. Sometimes I've thought about going to the doctor and getting them drained with a needle just to go ahead and get the pain over with :/

But, I hope you feel better! The horrible thing about cysts is that if you get them in an area once, you'll more than likely get one in the same area again and again.
