Sometimes tired of the same 14-19 year old roleplays involving mushy love and heartbreak? Need to get away from that a while? Want to experiment with the older adult lifestyle? (no porn jokes please XD)

but I've often wanted to roleplay with capable players in a modern city section or rather steam punk or any other from victorian upwards or perhaps fantasy taste to it as well.

I am just looking for a couple of more people to have a decent roleplay with and would not turn it much to a tween drama.

anyone interested?

I'm interested. Veteran roleplayer here. :) I'm obsessed with dark/horror themed lands and steam punk. The gritty stuff, you know? I play a lot of World of Darkness and Call of Cthulhu in real life, so it frustrates me the usual kind of thread I see here. Haha. I know where you're coming from.

So what kind of RP are you thinking of? I'd be up for it, most probably.

Oooh yay! (plays cthulhu too >>) You should play Arkhem horror as well.

Well I was thinking of sometime victorian- twenties roleplay you know? Gritty but still elegant. I like something around those eras. Or a mix of the eras. It be great to finally roleplay as something other then a 13 year old girl that has a crush on a boy.

Thank you so much!

My favorite eras, of course. I'm actually a Lovecraft scholar and one of two Keepers who run the chapter of Call of Cthulhu in my town. I play in the tabletop, but it's my job to run our Cthulhu Live! programme here. ;) I would play Arkham Horror, too, but I didn't have the money to purchase the game at our store, so no one has tried it yet. Haha.

I could do either, or both, if you'd like. I've got a couple characters for both that I'd love to use. Do you have any plot ideas?

I would definitely be interested. Sure, mushy romantic roleplays with high school kids can be fun, but you do get bored of that, too. I'd be up for virtually anything. :)

I'd be interested, I honestly hate the high-school style rps. It's always about trivial, petty stuff. But I still usually stick with a modern city setting... I have a 26 year-old single parent who's up for some roleplay if anyone's interested? He's lonely. :c (edit: He's also an alcoholic with ties to organsied crime, I forgot to mention that part...)

But I'd be quite willing to roleplay something in a more dated era, victorian, if that's what you're looking for.

Ha. You know, I just realized, Somalina, that your character might fit quite well in that time in history. In particular the 20's era, too, since back then (in America, anyhow), "alcoholic" and "organized crime" often went hand-in-hand.

I haven't rpd in a while, so this would be a sort of learning experience for me, but I'd be totally willing to jump into this if you'd let me, of course. I'm interested in gory and dark, horror themed rps, and all of the settings you listed sound like fun. I like to keep it between humans because I found that, after a while, the whole magical thing got a bit boring. Though, as a rule, my characters tend to be a little mysterious so if you're going with fantasy, that would work out well. I've already got a couple of characters worked out in my mind. I understand that I might be too young, but if you find space for me, that would be great.
