We've been trying not to have to use the air conditioning in my house, so we've been having to put on the fans and leave the windows open. Well, tonight I was sitting downstairs and door to the screen porch was open. It felt pretty good, because it was raining out and there was a nice cool breeze.

And then I noticed a little white thing floating in the air. And then another and another. At first I thought they were just little fuzz things or lint or something, but then I realized they were baby spiders. Ew :< I happen to be also sort of terrified of spiders. I had to go take a shower and change my clothes so I wouldn't end up having my skin crawl all night long x.x

Anyone else ever had something like this happen?

D; That's horrible. Vacuum the floor or something so they won't get in your shoes and form a tiny civilization. ; n;

In my house I kill every spider I see which luckily aren't much.

The house I used to live in used to be INVESTED with little tiny spiders. Not even joking. There must have been hundreds. Never saw a big one, thankfully, but the little ones were incredibly disturbing. Bleh, I feel like I need a shower just thinking about it.

That is so scary!

I'm on vacation in Maine right now and my little cabin is pretty much infested with spiders. There's one on my bathroom ceiling right now that I had to stare at while I got dressed today, but shivers I haven't told anyone it's there yet.

But last night I was in the bathroom and there was a huge pregnant spider in one of the corners that looked dead. I told my boyfriend about it so he could do the dirty work of removing it (I cannot touch them!) but when we went back into the bathroom, it was gone! For the rest of the night, I was totally wigged out. I didn't even want to sleep under my covers because I was convinced that it had crawled into my blankets/pillows.

EWEWEW. I hate spiders. D;

There was this horrible mouse spider lurking in my rabbit hutch which was outside and unused for a while. It looked all furry. ;~; I was fine knowing where it was... Until it dissapeared.

My skin is crawling just thinking about it.

I never really got why people were so scared of spiders.

I personally loved back when I had a spider who sat in front of my window. He ate any stink bugs that came inside, along with a couple of wasps and only god knows how many mosquitoes.

Once they make a web they don't wander too far away, so there's no worry about that either.

I would have thought that was cute ^^ Reminds me of the scene at the end of Charlotte's Web where all her babies fly away and three of them stay behind. ^^o

Yeah, I like spiders C:

I used to collect those little baby spider balls in an old fish tank when I was a little kid. I took care of them and watched them grow up. I like spiders.

Reminds me of the time when my parents took down our Christmas lights. xD

Unaware we were that they were infested with tiny little spiders that made their way out over the course of the weeks.

Bug spray had to be used in this situation.

As for my view on spiders? Depends on the spider. If it's a harmless Daddy-Long-Legs, then I'm fine with it. If it's a redback then it's gone. And we have lots of them.

Yay for Australia being the land of venom~ <3

Well, on their own, if they weren't... you'know, landing on me, would have been... almost cute. I guess. I mean, on their own, not touching me, some spiders are pretty cool looking. but I don't want them on me, especially ones I can barely see ;.;

Oh man, Kushina, that sounds just terrifying ;.; I probably would have had an anxiety attack and passed out or something x.x

Once I was at a group kid's camp, one of those ones where you stay a week? One of the beds in my cabin had a spider next hatch in it, and there were tons of spiders everywhere... it was just so gross :<

I remember one day during school, there was a tickle at the very end of my left eye. My friend had made a comment "Hey Katy, why is your hair moving, oh wait.." then I could see the spider. After totally flipping out, though, I was laughing through my hysterics. What a jolly good morning that was. ;D

I'm not afraid of spiders. In fact I love them :3 They eat all the mosquitoes and gross bugs out there

But, everyone else in my family is like terrified of them so whenever there's one in the house it's usually me who has to grab it and release it outside

You know that you will swallow an adverage of eight baby spiders in your sleep a year, right? ;)

Anyway, I have no problems with spiders-heck, they're welcome in this house, since they keep the moth population down. But dead spiders/insects of any sort give me the willies. All hollow and crunchy and...shudders. God, I can't even think about the damn things without some sort of reaction.

Wolgon- you know, if someone says they're scared of spiders, it's really not nice to tell them those sorts of things. Seriously. Like... really not cool :<

I had someone tell me that while I was at sleep-away camp (the same one that had the spider nest in the bed), and I had serious panic attacks because of those two things. I actually had to go home early because of it. I'm a lot less arachnophobic than I was when I was younger, but I still get crawling skin and stuff x.x

Ew, that's gross...and scary. I would run screaming and people would probably think someone was dead. I hate spiders with a passion...I won't even lick envelopes anymore cause I heard this story of spider eggs getting into your tongue when you do it, and someone had to get their tongue cut open to discover what it was. Ohhh...goosebumps
