Hmm. I'm sure this wont be the last we see of her. I want to know the reasoning behind it. Click for story

You know why???
Tina Fey did more bits about being Palin than Palin did about being Palin.
Oh my god.
I cannot STAND Sarah Palin. If she runs for president and wins, I don't even know what I would do.
Maybe move to Canada or something.
She should just stay out of politics all together.
Maybe she's leaving to become a Tina Fey impersonator.
You just know he would die, too. At his age I seriously doubt he would make it through four years of STRESS.
Stress is not good for an old man's heart.
McCain looked like he had one foot in his grave and one on a banana peel.
Then we would be stuck with Palin in office. -shivers at the thought-
Quick question....
Why is having Palin anywhere near the White House such a bad idea?
Because she has no clue what to do?
Ever trying to give a complex math equation to a 4 year old?
That's a bit like letting her near the White House...
The only thing I saw as dumb during her political career was associating herself with John McCain.
Although, this isn't a Debate Forum. So I'll leave it at: I am sad she chose to resign, I don't feel it was the correct choice for her. However, she knows whats best in her own life. So she at least deserves some kudos for resigning instead of continuing on and struggling.
Maybe it's something as simple as she wants to enjoy time with her family.
I never liked Palin and my beef with her was almost always political. Honestly, I could of cared less about her personal issues. The one personal issue I did pay attention to was when she fired the public safety commissioner because to me that appeared like an abuse of power.
However, I'm not quite sure this is the best political move for her. If she was going to step down then the 4th of July weekend might not necessarily have been the best time to do it.
However, it could very well be true that maybe she did just get sick of the publicity and all the stuff that was written about her or as stated she might be stepping down because she's planning to run for president in 2012.
After I saw an interview Palin did with a news channel, I can never take her seriously again. I've seen the Tina Fey spoof of the same interview; it was almost an exact quote of the real one. I can't say I like her stance on aerial hunting, either.
I wonder why she's resigning... Maybe she really is sick of the publicity. I know David Letterman got to her. :P
Wow. This is very recent. God bless Palin, though; I hope she gets past all of this commotion and enjoys life to its full.
I didn't read the whole article but veeery sketchy imo. I agree with Brad Woodhouse. Livy, I agree with you as well.
I think what Letterman said was completely uncalled for and inappropriate. I know they love to make fun of people like Palin, but come on. Give the woman a break. I hope that she resolves whatever problems she's having, and helps her daughter raise her new baby.

I'm not even American, so I barely care who gets into the White House...but dear god I was worried that she would get elected VP and then poor old McCain would kick the bucket. When I first heard about her nomination, a woman from Alaska, I thought it was pretty cool...and then I heard her do interviews. At one point she even said that her state had dominion over Russia and Canada, and while I know that's not what she meant, the fact that she said it and never corrected it was a source of endless jokes for us Canucks for a while.
Hopefully she'll just fade out of the limelight and take care of her family for a while, because I doubt she could take care of the American nation.
