My stupid braces just broke. :x The little bracket thing came off while I was eating an oreo. But it's still hanging on to the wire, which means it poking my gum. :(

I'll probably have to have an 'emergency appointment' (that's what they call it, lol) tomorrow. The last time I went to dear ol Dr. Ready was 2 weeks ago. AND I STILL CAN'T USE MY BACK TEETH.

The idiot ripped of 4 caps that were holding my braces on and oh God, they made the most horrible cracking noise when they came off. D: He pulled of my appliance and poked me and what not. Oh and he said in the nicest voice- 'this won't hurt a bit, sweetie'. LOL NOT. 🤒

The whole ordeal took and hour and a half. ^_^;

Anyone else have orthodontic troubles?

PS- if you took the time to read all that, you're a good person on the inside. :)

Shit. I'd just cut the wire and take the bracket off. It's not hard to replace a wire, and it only takes like 10 minutes to put on another bracket.

But I need this special super glue crap to hold it on! D: [edit]Lol, you're not talking about me replacing it are you? XD

And replacing a wire? Lol- pain. They are so rough! They don't care if they hurt you. :(

That sounds simply tortuous. I remember breaking my brackets and loathing to have to come back and get them fixed. Nothing like a couple hours sitting in a over-stuffed chair with people poking crap in your mouth making you want to gag.

I actually had to get a wire thing that goes up in the front or something, and it gave me a little flap/cut very gross. o.o;

When I had braces, they broke all the time. For no reason. I had at least 5 emergency appointments while I had braces lol.

That sounds like the thing I have. It's supposed to correct my overbite. But I just got them taken off (that's what I mentioned about the caps).

I'm getting mine off July 30. :D It's after the Idol concert, but whatevs!

I never broke a bracket, thank god. Wires.... that's another matter. So many fucking times I have broken them, or they've come out of their places, and they poked my mouth tons. :(

So I feel your pain, just not all of it. xD

When I had my braces, my orthodontist was the biggest asshole. My brackets and wires would break for no reason and he would give me shit everytime I went in to get them fix. Than when it was time for my retainer, he didn't size it right and there was a piece that would poke into my gum causing it to bleed a lot and they hurt so bad when I would put them in, so I stopped wearing them and he literally got in my face and yelled at me for not wearing the retainers and I flat out said, "well asshole, if you had sized them right, I would wear them, but since they are too small and cut my gums up when they are in, I won't wear them."

...I had an infected tooth a while ago. It hurt a LOT and I had to get it pulled. :( Other than that, my teeth are fine.

My brother's on the other hand, are not. He's had braces for 2 years, went to retainers for 2 years, and now he's back on braces. He recently got a tooth pulled that still had it's roots attached and it was extremely painful. The tooth looked like it had antlers. D:

Haha, I remember when one of my brackets broke off. It was on a saturday afternoon, and the clinic is closed on sundays, so I was to go 2 days with the stupid bracket rubbing up against my gum. I took matters into my own hands and snapped the damn thing off. xD

Boy were they pissed. Freaking hated the braces.
