feel free to post a youtube video, so we can all reminisce.

Little Nemo's Adventures in Slumberland. an amazing movie, with scenes that totally terrified me as a kid.

This scene actually turned into a reccuring nightmare for me: The one where he opens the door with the evil purple shit behind it.

(1:35 in for that scene)

LMAO.

I was coming into this topic to post Adventures in Slumberland too. What a scary movie. D: I rented it a couple years ago and it was still creepy.

The part that scared me though was after Nemo accidentally killed the king, he goes downstairs cause he hears the king going "Nemooo... Nemooo" and then the cupboard explodes and shit and he gets carried away by water. It's right at the beginning. My brother still remembers being freaked out by the King's voice too. :<

I totally forgot about that movie up until now. I'm glad I'm not the only one who was freaking out by ET. Whenever he screamed at Drew Barrymore's character, I started crying. :(

The wizard of Oz gave me shitloads of bad dreams when I was a toddler up until about 6 years old. Something about that haggy old witch scared the heck out of me.

Oh and the music for the xfiles, I never watched the show, but as a kid, I would run and hide when I heard the theme song.

The Black Cauldron, scared the hell of me. And that Powerpuff girls episode with the zombie when it first came out.

Me too. :o My mother was an avid watcher of the show, so my sister and I's ears were red from plugging them so much.

.. I am so happy to see I am not the only one who got nightmares from E.T. XD That movie scared me so much as a child and I refuse to watch it even at 18. And there isn't even just one part about it that terrified me- it was the whole thing. I cannot even enjoy Reese's Pieces because of it.

And yet, I watched the Aliens series of movies at like 10 and was fine.

OH. And the theme music from X-Files like some people have mentioned scared me. That and the music from that old America's Most Wanted program? XD I was a weird child.

E.T, especially in the scene where the boy finds E.T all shrivelled up by the river ( .. or was it by the sea? Can't remember.)

James and The Giant Peach - the grasshopper.

I used to also be terrified of The NeverEnding story, mainly because of that huge talking rock and Falkor. -shudder-

Pinocchio also scared me shitless because I have a fear of whales, and the scene where the whale chases Pinocchio did nothing to help me overcome this fear. x_x

The Little Mermaid. D8 When my mom would take my shirt off before I went into a bath, I /always/ thought it was freakin' Ursula tugging away at my head. And that old Nick show...'Afraid of the Dark' or something? SCAAARRY. I remember one episode where this girl was being chased by an evil nurse or docter, and that night I dream the same thing, but I'm the girl. D=

And I once had a nightmare where cookie monster ate my head. ;-;

And I remember watching Jurassic Park all the time. XD I was such a dino freak, through.

It was some Nickelodeon made for TV movie; There was this black guy, named Alan, who occasionally turned into a blue alien or something.

So, apparently, he turned into an alien at the end for some reason, and that scared me at like, 6.
