Dear CC (I feel like I need to start it this way, mostly because I have a secret wish of someday writing into Dear Abby. Anyways) I have a problem.

Thats right. LE GASP Yep. I have lost my cell phone. Ok, so its not the end of the world (well, maybe), but it does prove that I need to organize my sty room a bit. Or at least thats where I hope it is. I know its in the house, but just not where. Its sad and pathetic. And yes, I did try calling it, but the battery is dead.

So, I know I am not the only person who loses things regularly, what have you lost recently? Was it important? Did you nearly die?

Sincerely, Lost in Distress

I, unfortunately, lose everything I touch. Cell phone (dead batteries and all), and keys being the most prominent of course. ):

Dear Distress. (love the reference. ;] )
You are most definitely not alone, at times I swear I would lose my head if it were not permanently attached. Though to answer your question with a better example than something so rhetorical - I lose my glasses at least once a day. And yes, on a rare occasion they are on top of my head. Which is probably another example to the fact my head is probably not as secure as I think it is.

I usually have to use the good old standby of retracing my steps until I find them... you can imagine, being near-sighted, that it is often not easy to spot the object on a table, or counter when you NEED them to actually see that far away. So, it has become a regular running joke in my family.

Yep, I do that one all the time. :D Its like a weird demented cycle, you need your glasses to find your glasses.

Guess what! My dad found my phone. It was behind the cushion skirting in the back of the couch. Very unnoticeable.

I haven't lost my keys yet, but thats mostly because I put a lanyard on them and a bulky flash drive.

I've lost my plushie...

Yeah yeah no big deal. I'm a grown-up and I can live without the thing, but it has a huge sentimental worth for me. It's a plushie I bought when I was 12 and it helped me through school and exams and I still have it and it comforts me... And I know I'm pathetic, but if I don't find the little guy back I'm gonna cry o.o''

/sentimental/

^^ The plushie just means a lot to me. It contains lots of memories :)

I left my phone in one of the pockets of my pants once and when my pants came out of the washing machine my phone had passed away. Unfortunately, my beloved phone had drowned. So I bought a new one, and it went missing a week later. I found it back after 5 days of searching. I put all my efforts in searching, and found it on my desk. I fail :/

I lost my marbles. Really.

I had this big tin can filled with marbles and some relative stole it from my house. I had some really nice ones in there, too. ;-;
