I wonder why they changed the holidays?:

christmas to Luminaire easter to Vesnali

do they still celebrate the other holidays like "canada day"?

I think they changed the names of the holidays so they wouldnt be like religious affiliated.

I heard they changed them so they would have less direct affiliation with Earth holidays. Like, they want Subeta to have its own holidays now.

Christmas is now Luminaire Halloween is now Morostide Thanksgiving is now Fireside Easter is now Vesnali They'll probably think of something else for Valentines Day, like Amoris or something.

They also created their own holidays. Atebus Revolution Masquerade?

Subeta is Subeta, not Earth. Doesn't it make sense for Subeta to have its own unique holidays and traditions?

Mardi Gras

we should have one coming soon.. bonfire type...i remember firework items in it last year

Oh, right, Mardi Gras. ^_^; We don't celebrate it in my little northern town, so I keep forgetting when it is.
